• Okay so first of all, I would like to say that I totally 100% agree with this headcanon. Sebastian is totally trans. And I'm not just saying that because I'm genderfluid, no, like I actually think this is canon. Female anglerfish are the only species of anglerfish to have the little light bulb thing. But I do know that in the lore he was injected with DNA so there is also the possibility that he could be intersex but whatever

• I feel like he would never really tell you he's trans, as he just doesn't think it's really important. He also kinda worries that you would start misgendering him, but it's more that he just doesn't think it's important
• He probably realized when he was a late teen to young adult age and tried to come out to his parents but they didn't really accept him
• Now let's say you're also trans/under the trans umbrella and you come out to him. He would of course totally accept you!
• However, he is still going to make a sassy comment about it
• "I don't care what you identify as, so long as I get research. What? Did you really think you'd be able to get a discount?"
• If you were really scared to come out to him he would try and comfort you by telling you that he's trans himself
• Other than him using your preferred pronouns and preferred name, nothing else really changes. He will still make snarky comments and yell at you if you annoy him
