I groaned as my vision started coming back to me, my head pounding like a bad hangover. Everything hurt like hell and my body was so sore as I laid, unmoving on the sand. 'Sand. I haven't felt sand in ages, then again I haven't felt a lot of things in ages' I thought to myself as I blinked a few times, clearing my vision. I had a good view of the scorching hot sun, the crashing ceramic like material from whatever ship I had been on was the only thing I could hear aside from the sound of the water crashing against what I assumed was the shore. 'Wait. . .how am I still alive?' I asked myself, groaning as I sat up and dusted the sand off me.

My memories started coming back to me. . .the tadpole, the slimy octopus. . .the pods. There were these two women I had met, yet I can't quite seem to put my finger on who they were. There was a githyanki and, what I assumed to be, a human. I was not unfamiliar with the sight of both races, seeing as I was an elf and a warlock at that, I typically encountered many different kinds of people. I felt a sharp pain in my head as I pushed myself off the sand and rubbed my eyes. Fuck, I was so tired. I stretched a bit before taking in my surroundings. I was on a beach, a few broken docks and crashed parts of the ship around me, obviously lots of sand. . .and blood, much to my dismay (and distaste). My initial thought was, "Ok, so I'm totally going to just pass out and ONE OF THOSE STUPID OCTOPUS CREATURES WILL FIND ME AND EAT ME", but it took the mere sight of my human friend from the ship to calm me down. I ran to her side as fast as I could, though I was rather slow due to the crash (or that's what I like to think).

"Shadowheart, was it?" I asked as I gently nudged her, my face inches from hers. My hands slowly trailed down to her wrists as I learned close to her, feeling for her pulse. I let out a small sigh of relief as I felt the sign of life within her. I gently nudged her once more, and that was when the woman shot up, her gaze hardened.

"Woah, calm down.." I muttered as I moved away from her, offering my hand to her. She hesitantly grabbed my hand, pulling herself up. "You... How am I alive? How did we even..." Shadowhearts words trailed off, she was clearly confused. I looked at her blankly, waiting for her to continue. Shadowheart seemed pretty damn offended that I didn't ask her how she felt or something, though I could be wrong seeing how bad I am with social ques. Shadowheart disapproves. I cleared my throat, retracting my hand from hers. "How do you feel...Shadowheart?" I asked, saying her name rather slowly to make sure it was the right name... it would be rather embarrassing if I mixed her name up with someone random. Shadowheart huffed a little and moved away from me, looking at me with a piercing gaze. "Ok, no need to be hostile" I muttered as I averted my gaze, looking at a...I froze. A person? A actual person other than the stuck up woman in front of me, but on a damn cliff. Maybe they know what happened. "Hey, Shadowheart, you don't have to reply to me but I think we could benefit each other greatly. Maybe you should stick with me... for the time being, I've got somewhere to go." My voice was barely over a whisper, almost as if I was scared of scaring this mysterious person who, keep in mind, was no where near me. Shadowheart scoffed as she looked me up and down, pressing her lips together in a thin line. "I don't see why not, I suppose." Shadowheart declared.

'Sweet' , is what I would've said if I wasn't so focused on this person. It wasn't exactly everyday you saw a pale, possible man, stalking along the edge of a cliff. Shadowheart snapped her fingers in front of my face, as if to get my attention. My gaze snapped back to her as she said, "Are you going to keep on gawking over a cliff or are we going to try and get rid of whatever is in our head?" Shadowheart asked. "The latter," I said, my gaze going back to the figure. I walked along the path that would hopefully take us to the person, taking in my surroundings. We were now in what looked like the remains of the ship we were once on, such a shame it was almost beautiful. Almost. Shadowheart wasn't short to follow me, the only sound between us was the sound of our footsteps and the occasional rustle from a bush. "Klavier, be on guard" Shadowheart warned, pointing her sword at the brain like creatures that were on the ship. I nodded, drawing my own weapon, not that I was any proficient with it. One of the small creatures came charging at us with full force, its small slimy brain slamming me in the gut. I felt a pit in my stomach... I clearly wasn't in good condition for this. My head felt foggy, and the only thing I could hear was the sound of Shadowheart fighting before my vision went black...

I groaned as my eyes opened, Shadowheart hovering over me. "How do you feel? You were only out for a few minutes" Shadowheart's voice was firm yet calming. "I feel fine" I said in a small huff as I pushed myself off the ground of the wrecked ship. Shadowheart gave me a eye roll before following me as I continued up the cliff to the person I saw. "Over there, in the bushes! Kill it" A manly voice said. I looked up and my gaze met with one of the handsomest man I've ever seen. He had piercing red eyes and a pale yet somewhat tanned face and white curly hair, he was stunning. I approached the thing he had pointed at and before I could even get a word, or look, out, he had me in a lock on the forest floor. "Excuse me, WHAT THE FUCK?"

AN, how was the first official chapter? I hope it was ok, I'm making this entirely off memory X(. I'm worried I'm writing shart wrong but like... please tell me how to write her character (sob)
