Ashton's POV -

The door to room 19 slammed against the wall as i pushed it open. After a lot of nagging the boy's eventually convinced me to get up from my - comfortable - position on the sofa and go back to my room to get the sheet music from yesterdays song writing session.

I was too caught up in my thoughts to be careful and my actions obviously shocked the brown haired girl that appeared to be fixing my lightbulb. How did it become damaged? Well blame Abbie and Luke, they were whispering all morning and then when the owner of the restaurant joined us for breakfast they all became very excitable.

I don't have a clue what they were all whispering about because they decided that they would not tell me - but Calum and Michael could know what was going on.

The brown haired girl - who i now recognised was Faye - fell to the floor with, what looked like, a painful thump. I stilled in shock for a few moments due to the fact that i just caused the girl, whom I've been trying to talk to for weeks, to fall off of a ladder. So much for a good first impression.

I rushed to her side only to see her grimacing in pain with her eyes shut.

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay? I'm sorry i guess i shouldn't have been so forceful with the door but i didn't realise you were in here and i-" i started to ramble but was cut off by her opening her eyes and staring at me in confusion.

"What?" She said quietly whilst pulling out her headphones.

"I said are you okay?...I didn't mean to shock you, you look like you took a pretty hard fall and..." i said whilst putting a hand on her arm. My thought process soon stopped and i couldn't seem to form words as i looked into her eyes.

They were shockingly...beautiful. Her eyes were a light brown anyway but they started to swirl into a vibrant pinky-purple colour. She looked at me with wide eyes and her pale skin made them even more vibrant. It's like I'm captivated by their colour as I've never seen anything like them - Faye is truly unique - which make me want to get to know her even more.

I felt her flinch slightly under my touch - maybe i over stepped my boundaries by touching her. My thoughts were soon cut off by her actually talking to me.

"What? What's wrong?" She asked in a frantic voice. Her voice was perfect; not too high - not too low. Is there anything that's not perfect about this girl?

I tried to form words but once again i was distracted; her eye's seemed be be forever changing, the colours always swirling around her iris'.

"Woah, your eyes" i mumbled and leaned closer to her, only to them realise that it was the wrong thing to say and do. She snapped her head to look in the mirror and upon seeing herself she scrambled to her feet. I hastily followed her actions to see what was wrong.

"huh...i ummm" She started to stutter but i was too captivated by her eyes to notice.

"They're umm...i umm...T-they're contacts?" She said quietly and again she backed away from me.

"Yeah, they're contacts" She said before running towards the door.

Contacts my ass - there's no way contacts could make that affect on your eyes. I blinked at her retreating figure before quickly coming to my senses and starting to run after her.

"Wait! where are you going?" I shouted, in hopes of trying to get her to stop and talk to me. She was fast. There's no doubt about that. But my adrenaline was high after our tiny encounter and i wasn't going to let her slip into hiding for another three weeks. I'm going to show her that she can be relaxed around me. I'll be happy if she just talks or smiles at me - she doesn't have to communicate with the other boys if she doesn't want to.

I was trailing close behind her as she sprinted her way down the never-ending hallways. I was catching up to her each second and i slowed to a jog when i saw her leaning against a wall for support. She was breathing heavily and i was about to make a joke about her perhaps not running since secondary school, but i decided against it when i saw her start to fall back slightly.

My reflexes kicked in and i managed to catch her falling frame before she hit the floor for the second time in ten minutes. Her eyes were shut and her mouth was parted slightly. She looked relaxed - but then it dawned on me that she had actually passed out and i started to worry.

I quickly adjusted her in my arms so as i was carrying her bridal-style and then turned in hopes of finding my room again. I was lost at first, but then i followed the room numbered arrows and i soon found my way back.

I quickly turned the door handle and Luke, Cal and Michael's heads all snapped up to see the commotion.

"Woah...Ash, what happened?" Calum said and got to his feet so as i could place Faye onto the sofa. She was still unconscious.

"Ash, we said talk to her! Not knock her out!" Luke yelled and ran a hand through his hair.

"I didn't 'knock her out', i was chasing her and she suddenly collapsed" i explained and started to fan Faye with my hands. I had no idea what i was doing and apparently Calum didn't either as he started to check for her pulse.

"Oh, so you were chasing her then, eh?" Michael said smirking.

"Kinky" he said whilst wiggling his eyebrows. I scowled at him and Luke as they started to giggle with each other but they soon hushed when they saw how serious i was being.

"Can one of you like go and get Abbie or her uncle to help us? And Calum can you stop checking for her god-damned pulse - she's unconscious not dead!" i yelled.

Calum jumped back at my outburst and Luke ran to the phone to ring Reception for Abbie. After a few giggles and mutterings from Luke he soon hung up the phone and announced that Abbie was on her way up.

Michael and Calum seemed to relax and went to sit back down. Whereas Luke went to wait by the door like a love-sick puppy and i sat down anxiously by Faye.

----

Abbie knocked loudly on the door and it seemed to cut through my worrying thoughts. Luke swung the door open and his face split into a massive grin at the sight of Abbie - there's defiantly something going on there, i'll have to ask him about it later.

"Okay so, what happened?" Abbie asked as she walked over to me.

"Umm....well..i dunno she was fixing the bulb in my room and I went in there and I guess I shocked her, she ran out and I followed but then she suddenly collapsed" I said and looked as Abbie was checking over Faye. She lifted Faye's arms into the air and then she opened one of Faye's eyelids.

I was surprised to find that Faye's eyes had returned to their honey brown colour.

"Yeah, she fine" Abbie said after a while "this happens quite frequently. Just leave her here and when she finally comes to, give her some water and explain what happened. She'll probably be a bit panicky and stuff but just try and calm her down - if you can't just give me another call" Abbie finished and smiled at me.

"Thanks, Abbie" I said and started to play with Faye's fingers.

"That's alright, but now I must be getting back to work" Abbie sighed and went back to the door where Luke was waiting.

"I'll....uhhh..walk you back" Luke stuttered as he opened the door and Abbie nodded in agreement.

"Yes Luke! Get some" Michael laughed, only to receive the finger from Luke as he shut the door.
