Abbie's POV -

I heard Faye sigh as she took a seat next to me, the movement and noise momentarily distracting me from checking the hotels books, but i soon regained my concentration.

I opened my mouth to greet her and start up a conversation but soon closed it when she opened her Mac and plugged in her headphones.

So much for that conversation.

I couldn't blame her though - she's got it tough, but then again we can't chose our fate. That and our emotions are the only thing that we have no control over in life.

Glancing at Faye once more i noticed that she was slouching more and she looked as if she was about to pass out. Due to us both living in rooms next to each other in the hotel i can hear what Faye gets up to at night. I know she doesn't sleep, instead she electrocutes things or pays with copper wire in order to lessen the current that is passing through her body.

I really do feel sorry for her, she needs something or someone to brighten her hellish life.

My thoughts halted at the sound of the restaurant/hotels lobby door sweeping open. My curiosity got the better of me and i peaked my head over the large book i was holding.

Before me stood 5 men, well four freakishly tall lads and one stocky older man. The lads all shuffled into the lobby and crowded together with their heads down. All dressed head to toe in black they looked intimidating - but I'm not one to judge.

Sensing my gaze one lifted his head to look at me, he had blonde hair in a quiff with a lip ring. i smiled sheepishly at him and his eyes widened before he put his head back down. Frowning i turned to Faye to see what she thought of the lads but to my dismay she was completely out of it and staring lifelessly at the computer screen.

A annoyed tut sounded from the older man and he looked at the four lads disapprovingly before walking up to the counter with them following suit. The two black haired lads seemed to be in a heated discussion, whereas the other two were silent.

"Good morning!" the once annoyed man suddenly chirped.

"Morning" i smiled "How can i help you?" i asked whilst straightening my posture.

"I was wondering if you have any vacancies?" the man asked.

"We sure do, how many rooms might you like and for how long?" i asked whilst starting up the booking system on my computer.

"Uhh" the man glanced to the left of him and made eye contact with the blonde that had the lip ring. They seemed to have a silent conversation before the man rolled his eyes once more.

"Can i book out four single rooms?" the man asked, the lip ringed boy whispered a quiet 'yes' in what i thought sounded in triumph.

"You can" i said and smiled at him and the tall boy - and to my surprise he smiled back.

"uhh, for how long?" i said whilst typing on my computer.

"Thats the only problem, I'm not quite sure" the man laughed "you see these boys have gotten themselves in a bit of a sticky situation that i need to save them from and I'm not sure how long it will take" he explained but he got cut off by one of the dark haired lads.

"it was all Michael's fault" he said in a sassy tone, and i assume Michael was the one that then punched him in the arm whilst muttering a 'dude?!'

"Anyways" the man continued "do you think we could book the rooms out on some kind of tab? I'll pay it as the days or weeks go on" the man tried to reason.

"yeah sure!" i said "that'll be no problem" i said and the man grinned at me.

"Can you just fill out these details and ill get your room keys" i said and handed the man a booking sheet.

As i reached into the under counter compartment for the lads room keys i noticed that one of the boys, who was wearing a green bandana, was staring at Faye.

It wasn't a creeping kind of stare - it was more of a wondering stare. He seemed generally interested in Faye. Feeling excitement bubble, i glanced at Faye to see if she had noticed the tall boy, only to find that she was having one of her moments again where her eyes started to glow their strange colour. She couldn't help it, but sometimes they changed if she was tired or emotional.

Hoping she would soon snap out of it i glanced at the boy - half expecting him to have a look of horror on his face - but he didn't, if anything he seemed to lean closer towards her.

Faye then obviously noticed that he was looking as she hid behind her hair and slumped into her seat even more, the boy seemed to slouch in disappointment.

"There you go" the man smiled as he handed me back the sheet.

"Thank you" i said "here are your room keys, you're in rooms eighteen to twenty one, is that okay?" i asked and handed him the four keys.

"Thats perfect, thanks" he said and started walking to where all of their bags were slumped together.

The two dark haired boys followed suit straight away whilst bickering, and the bandana wearing boy took once last look at Faye before also turing towards their bags.

The tall, lip pierced boy still remained at the counter though. As i collected the sheets so as they would be ready for filing i caught his eye. He grinned at me and i couldn't help the smile that spread to my lips - his dimpled grin was contagious.

"Luke, come on" the bandana wearing boy suddenly said and he snapped me and 'luke' out of our staring trance.
