Faye's POV -

"Faye lets play dress up!" my 5 year old cousin Amy, said happily.

I nodded enthusiastically and giggled in reply. We pulled out the princess gowns and started to put them on. My six year old self taking control of the situation - after all I was a year older than her.

"I shall be princess Ariel and you shall be princess Bell" I said whilst putting on my fake 'posh' voice.

We danced around in our dresses for a few minutes, captivated by the way our dresses swirled and flowed with our movements.

Music filled the background noise but was drowned out by our giggling and bad singing skills.

"Princess Ariel?" Amy asked, and I stopped spinning and glanced at her curiously.

"I'm bored and dizzy now! Can we have a mad hatters tea party instead?"

"Okay" I replied instantly and we pulled out the plastic pots and pans.

"Would you like some tea?" Amy questioned whist over-exaggerating her raised pinkie.

"There's no tea in there!" i exclaimed "there's only coffee!"

"No it's tea! you can't have a tea party with out tea!" Amy retaliated.

"No! it's coffee!" I stubbornly replied.

3rd persons view -

The two young girls argued shamelessly about wether it was tea or coffee. Both of them were getting angrier and angrier gradually shouting at each other.

They both rose to their feet, as stubborn as ever, but still fighting. Didn't they know they were both wrong? It was a pointless thing to argue about, but they didn't care.

As the argument progressed something changed in Faye. She started to glow.

Her veins became a visible and vibrant blue, which contrasted greatly with her pale skin. And her eyes, they were a mass of deep purple and vibrant pink that grew wider as she shouted.

Amy's eyes widened at Faye but she thought her minds were playing tricks on her.

As the argument progressed it got physical. Amy shoved Faye slightly out of her face to give them each some room and took a weary step backward; sensing danger.

"I said its coffee!" Faye shouted one final time whilst giving Amy a harsh shove, with both hands, on Amy's shoulders.

Electricity pulsed through Faye at the contact and ran down her arms into her hands.

Amy collapsed, her body shaking in a frenzy.

"Amy?" Faye said panicked and reached for her cousin. Only to sent another current of electricity into her body.

At this point Amy's body was weak and convulsing from the current passing through her body.

"Mama! Aunty!" Faye hopelessly shouted and the two grown ups crashed into the room with worry.

"What happened?" Amy's mother asked whilst timidly going to touch Amy, only to get an electric shock in return.

"I shoved her - but It wasn't even that hard!" Faye exclaimed.

Faye's mothers glare was cold. This wasn't her daughter this was some...monster.

They rushed to the hospital and Amy was carted into surgery straight away.

---

Two hours. Two hours they had been waiting and there was still nothing. By this point the whole family had arrived.

Granny. Grandad. Faye's father. Amy's father. Cousins and other relatives.

A doctor stepped out of Amy's hospital room with a sympathetic look on his face.

Amy's mother dropped to the ground in tears. Some members of their family were silent whilst others gasped in horror.

Little Amy was gone.

Faye sat in the corner with her legs tucked up under her chin. She didn't mean it - she was just mad. She couldn't control it.

Amy's mother stood abruptly from the ground and stormed over to Faye.

"You!" she exclaimed "you did this. You monster! that was my little girl" Amy's mother was fierce but was held back by her husband.

Faye looked at her mother and father for reassurance. She wasn't a monster right?

Only to be crushed when she saw the cold look in their eyes as they turned their backs on her.

Hoping to find comfort in someone else. Anyone else.

She looked panicked at the rest of her family, only for them to take a weary step back. Terrified of her.

Tears flooded her eyes and ran down her cheeks.

Someone shouted a "for fucks sake! she's a child you can't abandon her!"

Which lead to a heated argument between the grown ups.

Not understanding, Faye started to rock herself back and forwards.

Suddenly she felt two arms wrap around her, hosting her into the air, as the man - her uncle to be exact. Ran out of the hospital with the other members of their family cursing him as he ran.

They didn't stop running. They got into a taxi. Drove for miles and we're soon boarding a plane.

"Don't worry" her uncle muttered calmingly into her ear whilst holding her close.

"It will all be okay. We will be okay. We have each other right kiddo?" He asked not only reassuring her but also himself as she sadly smiled at him.

Still confused, she clung to him as the plane took off flying to some treasure island called 'England' where they would start their new adventure.
