"Guild Leader!!"
Kim Sunghan sprinted past, jumping over every roaring flame nipping at his heels with practiced ease. He stopped in front of the staggering Han Yoohyun, a hand awkwardly held in the air as if silently asking for permission.
"Don't," the Guild Leader growled out.
"Yes," Kim Sunghan said firmly and lowered his hand, not even batting an eye at the apparent threat in the other's voice, "how can I help you, Guild Leader? Shall we depart to Haeyeon? I will re-schedule my meeting with Boss Kim to ano–"
"..ave."
"–ther day.. Huh? Excuse me? Would you repeat that, sir?"
"LEAVE."
[The skill 'Fear Resistance' nullified the fear!]
Han Yoojin eyed the notification with half of his mind, only to observe Kim Sunghan buckle in his knees and crash to the ground in a heap. A choked, pained sound escaped the A-Class Hunter, and from where Han Yoojin stood, he could not identify a concrete expression, but Kim Sunghan's whole body was trembling visibly.
Just like in the meeting, a Hunter's pressure was being used. Only, this time no smiling Sung Hyunjae stood between an aggressive Han Yoohyun and him.
..This did not look good. Did.. Did Kim Sunghan's words have some truth in it, after all?
Han Yoojin quickly dialed the Dokkaebi's number.
Sung Hyunjae was too far away right now, actually being in a dungeon and not as an excuse, so fleeing was the only way right now. Plus, he did not want to owe that suspicious guy something right now after talking him down..
If the Dokkaebi took them to Yoo Myeongwoo, they could even flee into the subspace.
"Salutations!" his phone greeted merrily in the Dokkaebi's voice.
"Yoon-ah, I–"
"Sorry, I'm currently not available! I gotta work hard, hehehe! Please leave a message after the–"
"Shit!" he blurted out.
Han Yoohyun looked over.
Ah, shit, indeed.
"W-Wait! Wait, wait, wait!!" Han Yoojin shouted frantically out as with every step he took back, his brother started advancing even faster, stumbling and unsteady, a furious, murderous expression plain to see. "I said wait, dammit! Stop! Stop already! Han Yoohyun!!"
His brother halted in his steps.
Han Yoojin held his rapidly beating heart. 'That worked?! Scary.. Yoohyun..'
His brother was here.
Han Yoohyun was standing mere meters away from him, brown coat tattered with burn marks, hair askew and face coated in ash. He did not wear shoes with his feet thickly smeared in black, leaving a smoky trail. Even his hands, normally free of any substance as his black flames burned everything away, were jet-black and hard to see through dark flames flickering.
He looked like he had been rolling down the coal mines for the last eight years.
He looked like a mess, different from the untouchable and cool Guild Leader of Haeyeon he portrayed himself.
