GONE - 24

Dear Issac,

Lola and I were seated in the cafeteria today when some of your old friends came up to us. I've forgotten their names because to be honest, I know they didn't like me with you either. No one did.

They asked if I was okay, which was strange since they didn't give a damn for nearly four months. The question was that of concern yet their smug expressions said otherwise. It was like there were so many taunts behind that simple sentence, mocking me.

But I still nodded.

They then asked if 'this chick' is annoying me. 'This chick' was Lola.

The anger rose inside of me, seeing as they were insulting my best friend, and I told them to get away from us.

Who the hell did they think they were?

They were acting like they were the ones who were there for me when you weren't. So I punched one of them. The one who tried to yank Lola from her arm.

She didn't stay idle either, by biting his hand.

We are quite the pair.

Maybe even better than what we once were.
