Albert POV

-"Can you come?" comes a gentle voice from the other side. I take my keys and get in the car. 20 minutes later I'm standing outside Gracie's studio door.

I ring the bell, she opens it and I go inside.

-' Hey...' she greets quietly.

-Are you okay?- I ask.

She stops and sits down on her drink.

-'I'm fine, I just drank too much at the party. I walk over to her and sit down in the chair across from her.

-Are you sure?

-' Yes.' she replies.

Gracie then starts writing something in her notebook.

Her short hair was tucked behind her ears. Her shoulders were relaxed.

-What are you writing?

-' Your jacket is on the hanger,' she replied.

'I'm getting away.

-Should I leave?- I ask raising one eyebrow.

She lifts her head and looks at me.

-' I'm writing lyrics to a song.

I get up from the chair and stand beside her.

-' Can I see it?

-No.

Gracie smiles and hands me the sheet. I notice it's wet and has tear marks on it. I leave it without reading the text.

-Grace, what's the matter?

She shifts her gaze.

-I fought with my boyfriend. Again.

-Why?

-Long story.

**-We have all the time in the world. - I answer and sit down on the couch next to her.

-I didn't talk to him since yesterday because he didn't pick me up from the party. We fought for the show.

-Is it all about the media? Why don't you break up?

She took a breath.

-Yeah. I can't. It's all about the media.

-Why are you doing this to yourself?

Gracie looked at me and teared up.

-I have to. -' I have no choice.

-What do you mean?

Gracie visibly didn't want to answer.

-I should. -She took a breath. -I have no other choice.

-What do you mean?

Gracie didn't want to answer my question. She leaned her head and started to cry softly.

When I realized what was going on I squatted next to her and hugged her.

She hesitated but returned my hug.

- It's okay, Gray. You don't have to cry. It's okay.

She leans against my shoulder and presses herself against my body, looks me in the eye, and is about to say something, but then there's the opening door.

-'Gracie, what are you doing here? Why didn't you come home? You went to the party without my permission!" exclaimed a man's voice.

At the sound, Gracie immediately drew away from me, and I stood up. She wiped the tears from her face. There was tension in the air.

Footsteps approached us.

-' You should have left.' She whispered to me.

A tall man with black hair and a rough face appeared in front of me.

I recognized him.

-' Albert?

-Chris?

His expression frowned.

-What are you doing here?

-' I had to pick something up,' I replied coldly.

Gracie realized we knew each other.

-Grace, why are you alone in the studio?- Chris looks at Gracie, and then his eyes come back to me. He tightens his arms nervously.

-' He just forgot his jacket and came to get it.

Is it a problem?-She retorts, then looks at the ground. Her determination was

gone.

-I'm leaving. 'Good night, Gracie.' I grabbed my jacket, then I opened the door. I stopped and with my back to them I said:

-I didn't know we'd see each other after so many years, Chris.

You haven't changed at all.

Then I walked out closing the door with a bang.
