Klludd's POV:

I slowly awoke with a major headache. Last I remembered, the creature's spit paralyzed me and I felt like I was dying. I opened up my eyes only to find that my right eye was still blinded.

'Dang it!' I thought. Then suddenly I remembered the pale white tytto that saved me. I never got to thank her. I looked out a window, which, for some reason, was right next to me. I looked around and saw her on top of a pedestal. I decided not to distract her so stayed silent. I then found sorrenn in a cave not far from where I was. I used my claws to slowly and silently climb down the wall. Then I sneaked behind what looked like guards. Somehow, I didn't get caught. Then I heard a familiar voice.

"Klludd. Over here."

I turned around and saw sorrenn and what looked like an elf scratazon.

"Sorrenn! What are you doing here?" I almost yelled. Luckily no one heard because they weren't anywhere near us.

"I came to get you out of here." Sorrenn explained, then noted my half-blindness. "Dang, that's horrific."

"Yes, it will take some getting use to." I said, then looked at the elf scratazon. "Who's your friend?"

"Her name's Gylfinea." Sorrenn answered. "She was one of the scratazon younglings that were being taken here." We both looked at the white tytto scratazon on the pedestal.

"That's Nyrachnia. The ablah general of St Copernicus." Gylfinea said, surprising us both.

'Nyrachnia?' I thought. 'As in Blackarachnia?' Then suddenly I realized that the white tytto was The firstborn daughter of Blackarachnia and Wildcat. I started feeling bad for the one called Nyrachnia.

"Klludd? What are you thinking about?" Sorrenn asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing." I quickly said. I still felt solemn even after realizing Nyrachnia's past.

"Are you actually thinking about her?!" Gylfinea asked, puzzled and confused.

"Well, it's just that Nyrachnia came from a clan that was destroyed long ago." I said quite nervously. However I failed to account for the terrified expressions as I kept talking. "Her father was a former Pure One who killed the former high tytto, Malachityrannuss after the latter slaughtered Blackarachnia, Wildcat's mate. So, therefore..." I felt sorrenn was looking behind me and I stopped.

"She's standing right behind me, isn't she?" I asked. They nodded. I dare not looked behind me.

"I had no idea that someone actually knew about my past." Nyrachnia said intriguingly. Did she overhear my talk with my brother and his friend? I was completely and utterly silent.

"Young tytto. I hope you're not too nervous to look me in the eyes." She said in a commanding tone.

"You leave him be!" Sorrenn interjected.

"Ah. Spirited little tytto. How touching." Nyrachnia said, possibly unfazed by my brother's fearlessness. You and your patch of felt will stick together, then. As pickers!" I froze in shock.

'So, that's why all of those younglings were here.' I thought. 'They were being used as slaves!'

'I'd prefer the term unpaid interns.' Nyrachnia's voice rang inside my head. She can totally read my thoughts. As Sorrenn and his friend were being taken away, Nyrachnia was still behind me.

"How did you know about the Arachnid Clan Massacre?" She asked. I slowly turned around and looked into her eyes. They were a sort of Blue-green hue. They were surprisingly luminous.

"My brother told me about it." I answered. I felt as if my face was starting to numb. "Y-You are the firstborn daughter of Blackarachnia and Wildcat, are you not?" She nodded with a seemingly depressed expression.

"Come with me." She said. I reluctantly followed her through the halls of St Copernicus. It seemed like she wanted to show me something from her past or whatever.
