Sorrenn's POV:

I was looking around for the guardian Merrin called the Scarlet Talon. Wing Dagger was at the parliament chamber explaining everything that happened recently. I kicked a rock without knowing it, then the rock knocked into something and caused a chain reaction when a lot of stuff fell on the floor, which caused me to stop and wince at the commotion I indirectly caused. I went into the room/hollow where the mess was made, then realized it was some sort of storage area.

"Wow. Quite the memorabilia they have in here." I told myself. Then I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turn to see what it was and found out that it was a suit of armor, red as a rose with a set of wings attached to it. It was kinda dusty, but really cool, nonetheless. I figured out who it belonged to.

"No wonder he was called The Scarlet Talon." I whispered. Then I looked over to the left and saw a canvas covered in dust. I wiped the dust off, but suddenly stood still.

"Oh my gosh." I silently gasped. The Scarlet Talon was my father. The painting showed him standing next to the legendary Laze of Kaal. I was shocked to the core.

"Sign said stay out." An elderly voice said, taking me by surprise as I turned around. The elder scratazon was looking at me with a stern expression.

"Sorry. I was just about to leave." I said nervously, then I left the garage in false shame.

"Your father was the best tytto scratazon to have ever been inducted into the Guardians." The elder scratazon said. I turned around and he smiled at me, knowing of my father. He continued, "had he stayed, we would've known of your family sooner." Then he closed the recently wide open doors, saying, "didn't know it was still open until now." Then he left. I walked the other way, still looking at the garage in confusion.

"Hello there." A feminine voice said, snapping out of my thoughts and causing me to nearly fall. Wing Dagger caught me.

"Sorry about that." He said. "She's from one of the colony planets orbiting our home." I was speechless and confused. I wasn't informed of colony planets at all in my entire life.

"I'm still getting used to the customs here." The female scratazon said. I looked at the dome around her head. Wing Dagger took notice of my curiosity.

"Her planet's atmosphere is very different from ours." He explained, then told her my name. "This is Sorrenn, Monnalissa." I suddenly had butterflies in my stomach, then Wing Dagger said, "Her real name is Y'gythba'zaleas." I kinda preferred Monnalissa because the name alone rolled of the tongue better then whatever her real name was.

"Well, sorrenn," Monnalissa started, her face getting close to mine. "Someday, our snouts will meet in the flesh." Then she left, causing me to get slightly disappointed. Then when Wing Dagger left as well, I saw something on Monnalissa's left arm.

"Do I spot a little pinstripe tattoo or something?" I said to myself, but Monnalissa heard everything and got embarrassed as she turned towards me.

"Oh, ha. That's just-" she started before bumping into an old stack of helmets that were meant to be recycled. She laughed embarrassingly, causing me to chuckle under my breath.

"Oh, you saw that?" Monnalissa asked, still laughing in embarrassment. "Just gonna be going." And with that, she left after cleaning up the mess. I didn't take my eyes of her throughout the fiasco. I think I was in love or something. I shook it off and decided to head towards my friends' location, making sure not to tell them about what happened.
