3rd person POV
as the sun rose above the eastern hemisphere, a city called Musutafu held the name as one of the top hero schools in Japan. many famous heros that are known in current history attended the schoool. as much as people may say heros never fail others, they would be lying. heros fail many weather that be the top pro heros or even the heros that share the same last name as them. people will always get mistreated by the hero system.
Yuzuki had one set goal, becoming a hero. since the day she got her quirk it was her purpose of life.
Yuzuki's POV
i woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring right next to my ear. i hit the stop button and rolled on the other side of the bed, not wanting to visit my family estate at the moment.
there was quiet, but quick footsteps rushing down the hall. i knew who they belonged to, it was my mother getting ready to come through the door to wake me up.
"hey sweetheart. you know you have to wake up, i don't want you to miss today." she said in a calming tone while walking over towards my bed
"i know. but do i really have to?" i asked, i already knew the answer.
she simply smiled at me and patted my arm. giving me the signal that i needed to get up.
i got up and went to the bathroom fixing my hair and brushing my teeth. i walked to my closet and picked out a traditional kimono.
my family was very old fashioned especially when it came to important meetings like today. the one thing me and my other family members had in common is that we don't want nothing less then to impress our elders, especially my grandmother.
after finishing up styling my hair i walked through the halls i used to run through and trace my fingers against the grooves and creases of the house that was designed for my father whenever he got married and had family.
i reached the kitchen and saw my mother outside already tending to her garden as usually. i know it brought her joy, something that was a unfamiliar emotion in my house.
"Yuzuki," my father paused for minute wanting me to look back at him, as soon as i did he continued.
"Yuzuki. don't let any of the elders scare you into something you don't want. be who you want to be.don't fall down the path i did."
he said all of this while looking me directly in the eyes almost like he was speaking to my soul. he couldn't say to much about becoming who he wants to be. i felt that that we both knew he said it to bring me some kind of comfort. but our family just wasn't something i could escpae as much as a i wanted to. ever since i was born he followed whatever they said.
"i'll become the best, that's all i ever wanted" i said while looking down and turning back around . for a second i thought i saw a slight smile on his face, but maybe i was just imagining it.
-
since my father had hero work to attend to my mother dropped me off instead. "don't get to upset with whatever they say to you" my mom said as she looked at me through the mirror.
i know that my dads family didn't treat my mom right, so i know that her warning was to not be ignored.
i opened the car door and stepped onto the pavement of the Hitori Estate. the huge gate surrounding it, the three different buildings, and the training grounds in the back where i spent many days as a teen.
the helpers led me to the "meeting room" as they called it . it was where anyone in the family would come to speak to the elders. we were never all called in for the same reason.
the quirk blood manipulation could be used in many different ways. one of the most popular kind is just manipulating your own blood and use it as a defense. in my case i like to stick to making weapons for my own benefit and use it more on the offensive side. such as bullets that can be destroyed by piercing someone through the flesh but can easily be reconstructed just by me.
if im not using bullets, using my quirk as a defense is the next best option. it can be met to its full potential from farther distances, since it is a long range quirk.
not everyone with a blood manipulation quirk uses it the same. some can be healers, or some are able to leave traces of their own blood to control things. over the years in my childhood i had training were i would learn a bit of styles to help my father understand what i work best with. the most rare type of manipulation is blood bending, when the person can control the blood flow throughout someones body and can move the person without struggle.
there has only been two users of this type of manipulation in my family. my grandmother and my late uncle.
-
i could only feel the pressure on my shoulders while walking in the estate. soon enough i reached the meeting room, i slid open the door and my grandmother was quietly waiting. i bowed to her as a sign of respect."how was the drive here? did your father take you?" she said while looking up at me
as i sat down i said, "it was fine, my mother dropped me off instead. father was busy with hero work."
"oh, well i guess that makes sense." she nodded her head
i always got the feeling that she truly never liked my dad. she favorited her older son better, that was until he passed away. i think he was about 24 when he passed, my dad was only 19. my dad just had gotten out of high school and became my uncles sidekick for a very short amount of time.
i know my dad feels bad about what happened, i just wished he talked about it.
"besides that you know you will be attending UA in the school year, correct?"
"but i haven't-"
"you shouldn't finish that sentence. you will be. if you fail that entrance exam there will be consequences for you. just know that."
"yes ma'am. i will give everything i got to pass."
"remember child it's, 'will'. you will be passing." she said with a smirk on her face
she knew what she was doing, she was going to torture me like how shes done to the rest of my family. i wish i could just do things for myself, my family doesn't need to be involved with every single thing.
after 10 minutes of discussing my improvements and things i need to work on with my quirk she dismissed me.
i bowed my head left the estate calling my mom to come and pick me up.i don't have any other choice. i will be attending UA, i just can't disobey my family. especially not my grandma.
