Chapter 20: Return of the Spider Queen - Part 2

Hello everyone. I believe I owe you all an apology.

When this chapter was written, it was written at the exact same time as the previous chapter. I spent the last several months since March debating if I should release this chapter or not as I wanted to get the next chapter completed.

UNFORTUNATELY I have come to realize as I was writing "The Sleep Bug" that Season 2 is DRYER than Death Valley (Death Valley is the hottest and driest place in the USA, considering it is also the only place in the USA that you can drive and reach under the sea-level. Fascinating right? It doesn't help that Death Valley reached an all time new record of 130°F recently) and Season 2 is dryer than that!

Fortunately, I WILL be receiving help from the creator of "The Lotus Maiden"! If you know their LMK story, then it is some big help indeed! Both them and I will be cowriting Season 2 of LMKTCO to get this dry season out so I can finally get into the wet season (aka the more eventful seasons) of LMKTCO!

A small update on my life but I have a job now! For the past month, I have been working for the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance within the Merchandise Retail Department (I see the BTS on Merchandise going out to the Zoo, Safari Park, and ShopZoo!) Exciting news, I will be going with a coworker this week on August 1st to see the preview of Panda Ridge and to see the Giant Pandas-Yu Chuan and Xu Bao-before their habitat grand opening on August 8th! Very Exciting!

"So let me get this straight." I stared at the group with a raised brow, "You didn't check for any implanted tracking devices the Spider Yokai could have thrown onto the ship in your getaway?" The group stared at me whilst Red Son created a large sigil on the ground in the background.

"If you peasants didn't check-which you should always check!-then we will be leading that freaks henchmen right to us in the Celestial Realm!"

MK sweatdropped at Red Son' exclamation, "Didn't... really, uh- think that through." I just sighed and shook my head. Summoning a few ropes made from vines, I attached it to the side of the ship and hopped over the side, extending my wings out as I did so I could glide down.

MK and the group let out a surprised yelp and came over to the side, holding onto the vine rope as I made my way under the ship. "You see anything down there V?!" Mei called out and I stared at the underside of the ship as I hovered in the air, "Not yet- Aha!" I smiled as I found the circular tracking device, just like how it looked in the show.

Flapping my wings, I pushed myself over to where the tracking device was, but before I did anything, I wrapped the vine rope around my waist so I could use two hands. Using my magic to hover in the air for a few moments, I summoned a dagger from my pocket dimension to use as a way to scrape off the tracking device like it was a barnacle.
