How is someone supposed to react when your friend finds out a secret that you were trying to hide? Well, of course, you would lie! "I don't know what you're talking about, Cody! Nothing happened today," she shrugged. It's another boring day." She smiled, hoping that he wouldn't catch on to her lie, but she didn't know that her voice went high-pitched when she tried to lie. His right eye twitched, and he stared at her swollen self.
"Why are you lying?" he inquired
"I'm not! It was a borin-"
He interrupts, "You lie terribly. So tell me what the hell happened." He chose his words carefully and cautiously to avoid showing his mood. His fists are clenched, knuckles growing paler than they were. She sighed, "Something happened. But, there was nothing that you could do about it anyway." This soiled his mood more, "Excuse me?" Her eyes widened and covered her mouth, seeing something fiery ignite within the phantom's green eyes, causing them to glow. Scowling, he stepped closer to her. "I couldn't do anything about it. Really?" She winced as his tone grew more intimidating, causing her to back away as he stalked closer. "Out of everyone here, I have been the one to be there for you!" Not even realizing she was backed against the wall, his hands flew forward and caged her in between his arms. Trembling, she looked up into a pissed-off ghost's eyes. Leaning to her face, their lips close enough to touch, he murmurs, "You've changed." Her eyes widened, feeling dread wash over her.
"I had to. This world is unpredictable. You should know that since you're dead!" She didn't know where it came from but was aggravated and yelled at the disheartened ghost. Eyes blazing, he recoiled one hand and then collided with the wall space next to her ear with his fist. Backing away, the ghost disappeared. Trembling, she glances to the side of her head... there in the wall was a hole as large as his fist..."He punched the wall."

She worked tirelessly. Trying to rid her mind of the encounter of her and the ghost. Flipping through her textbook, she works on practicing math problems and grumbling. How could she have said that to her dear friend? She has been going through too many strong feelings, and the one that scared her the most today was the one where she felt that she could harm...kill the man who insulted her today. Sitting up, she glanced at her swollen cheeks and still slightly swollen lips. Grazing her thumb across her bottom lip. Her lips parted, unconsciously grinning in the mirror. A knock at her door is what causes her to snap out of her mental state and move to the door, opening it.
"Hi, sweetheart! How was school today?" It was her father. He came up with a plate of three cupcakes. "I made you some dessert! Your mother is laying down right now since she is tired." She nods and lets in her smiling father. Gently grabbing her hair and putting it up, she sits on the desk chair, allowing her father to sit at the edge of her bed. She smiles, "It was good, Dad. Had a productive day, per usual. Right now, I am just practicing my mathematical skills." He nods, "That's good to hear, sweetie. Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about something." He looked hesitant as his smile faltered.
"What is it, Dad?"
"Well, my dear daughter. Please don't think your old man is crazy, but I was wondering if you have seen anything weird in this house."
"I don't follow"
"L-like people! Maybe a ghost?"
She felt her pulse quicken and her blood run cold. "This is one of your jokes, right?" He shook his head, "I only ask this because recently I found this article about this ghost, and it's odd because somehow...I-I saw someone standing in the middle of the hallway near your room." She slowly nods. "Listen Y/n, this house wasn't a first pick for me okay? I-it's because there is a history here." She stares at her father wide-eyed, he knew about the house. "You see-"
Before Mr. North could continue his thought his former wife barged in, wild eyed, "There you are! My loving husband! I need some help." And with that, her mother turned around. "I guess another time my flower." He smiles and kisses her forehead, then walks away closing the door. He left his daughter there wide-eyed. Turning around she grabbed the notebook in where she was documenting Cody. "My father knows what happened here."
