Uma's POV

I couldn't believe my cousin Mal was a mom now. I looked at her, and Ben and Mal gently put Beatrice in my arms. "She's so cute...." I said. "Thanks, Uma," Mal replied. I might've been a pirate living on the Isle of the Lost while Mal and Ben were the king and queen of Auradon but I still had a soft side and seeing my niece Beatrice made me so happy. She looked like Mal with her emerald green eyes and little tuft of Mal's purple hair. "She looks like you, Mal," I said as I gently adjusted Beatrice in my arms. "Awe... She does look like me," Mal replied as she took her newborn daughter back into her arms. "I must get going this hospital room smells worse than my ship," I laughed. "Oh, come on, Uma can't you stay just a little longer. I know Beatrice will want to get to know her aunt a bit more," Mal said as she looked at me. I couldn't help but chuckle. It felt strange to be on the receiving end of such affection; the little pirate in me had never expected to play the role of an aunt. "You know I always have a soft spot for the little ones," I said, my heart swelling. "Exactly! And who better to show her the ropes than her fierce Aunt Uma?" Mal argued playfully.
With each heartbeat, I found myself wavering. The thought of leaving this magical moment behind felt heavy, and I realized I was curious to see this new role fit into my life. "Alright, just a little longer," I conceded, hoping that in this tiny room, the three of us could create a bond that would last through the shifting tides of time, a bond as strong as any we had forged at sea. Mal smiled, and in that moment, I felt an unexpected sense of belonging. As I watched her coo softly to Beatrice, I realized that family, no matter how it changed, it was an unbreakable chain, each link forged from love and understanding. Now, I was ready to embrace this new adventure alongside them.
