Ben's POV
I was doing yoga in our house, which was Beast castle in Auradon, and Mal just put our newborn daughter Beatrice in her bassinet. "I am calm, I am relaxed, I am a happy tree," I said to myself. Suddenly, Mal walked into the room. "YOU ARE MAKING IT VERY HARD TO BE A HAPPY TREE!!" I yelled at Mal. "Sorry...." Mal mumbled under her breath. "It's ok, baby. I was just doing some yoga to calm myself down," I replied. Mal rolled her eyes, a smile threatening to break through. "I can see that. Do happy trees usually wear sweatpants?" Mal asked. "Of course they do!" I responded with mock indignation, wiggling my toes in the soft fabric. "Happy trees also enjoy snacks instead of dark leafy greens. I mean, have you ever seen a tree eat a salad?" I asked. She chuckled, that melodic sound cutting through the tension like a sunbeam. "Enough about trees," Mal continued, stepping closer and peering at the bassinet where Beatrice lay wrapped in a soft blanket. "Have you checked on her? She's so quiet, it's... unnerving." Mal said. I nodded, shifting from my tree pose to a seated position. "She's tired. Let her sleep," I replied. Mal nodded. As if Beatrice could sense we were talking about her, she woke up. "Hello, my little dragon," Mal cooed as she picked up Beatrice. Beatrice was actually a pretty easy baby she didn't really cry except for cuddles.
