The Demon King Of Akasuka
Tanjiro stared at the city of lights standing out in the midst of the dark. He was in awe of the brightness enveloping the area especially at this time of night with so many tall buildings.
When his mother finally stopped the cart outside the city, Tanjiro took the reins and started to walk through the city on his own. Kie's mewls grew louder when he gasped at the sight of something he had never seen before.
A stranger complained about him gasping at something called a 'tram' as his mother's fond chuffs filled the air behind him. It wasn't long until he could hear more of his siblings starting to wake up from the amount of noise from the horde of people walking, talking and laughing with each other.
Everything was so overwhelming to a point where it was overloading his senses. His sense of smell was going haywire with the amount of savory and sweet smells he could like up along with the faint trail of cats coming from multiple alleyways. And the amount of shining lights strung up between buildings and along the huge street was blinding him and making him dizzy.
"We need to find somewhere darker, mom," Tanjiro mumbled, squinting against a light that seemed hellbent on blinding him in his left eye. His mother tapped the floor of the wooden cart as he heard Takeo's rumble growing louder.
Tanjiro hurried down one of the alleyways that could fit the width of his cart. He quickly looked away from a couple who were kissing in public as he rushed passed with his family behind him.
He didn't stop until he reached the outskirts of Akasuka, the same area his mother stopped to let him take over. He breathed out as he parked the cart off to the side next to an udon shop where an older man was watching him.
Tanjiro was about to order some udon to relieve hunger in his stomach that couldn't be quenched with the dried rations he had in the cart. He made one step towards the cart before something in the air made him pause in his tracks.
'That scent! It smelled exactly like the smell that covered my house!' Tanjiro thought to himself as the heavy blood scent with a dark energy to it curved its way into his nostrils. The demon progenitor, Kibutsuji Muzan was in the main part of Akasuka!
Tanjiro took off running towards the city much to the confusion of the udon cart owner. He could hear some of his family groaning or chuffing in confusion before they were out of earshot. He didn't have time to reassure them that he would be back.
He clutched onto his sword as he continued to run towards the familiar scent. He ran through the crowd of people until the scent led him to a man in black and white styled in western clothing.
Tanjiro grabbed his shoulder which made the man turn around and revealed the wavy black hair slipping down from their hat. Those red eyes that sent chills down his spine despite the confused gaze.
Anger started to boil up in him before it all simmered out at the sight of the small human child held in Muzan's arms Ike he wasn't the demon king who attempted to murder his entire family.
"Daddy?" The little girl asked as her two pink bows bounced in her hair as Muzan shifted his hold on her. "Who's that?"
"Don't worry, sweetie. I'm sure he is lost." Muzan answered with a smile devoid of those signature demonic fangs he had seen in his family's mouths. "I'm sorry, is there something I can do for you? You seem to be a bit flustered."
