Y/n's POV

It was 6:00 PM when I asked the driver to drop me off at Marinette's house. I thanked him as I got out of the car, planning to buy some bread and snacks. Before I could enter Marinette's parents' bakery, Marinette bombarded me with questions.

"So, what did Mr. Gabriel Agreste want, Y/n? Was Adrien there too?"

"Marinette, Adrien lives there, so yes, he was there. Mr. Agreste just needed help with an artifact. It was a bit frustrating because he only wanted me to translate the encrypted symbols. I wish I could have examined the artifact more closely... sigh."

"Oh right, sorry Y/n. I'm just so curious about what Mr. Agreste wanted from you. He's known to be very strict and intimidating."I smirked and teased, "Are you really curious about me or Adrien?" She blushed and stuttered, trying to explain that it wasn't like that. I laughed, patted her shoulder, and told her I was joking. She had thought Adrien was in the car earlier because she was helping her parents organize the bread. When she saw Adrien's car, she assumed he was the one getting out. I jokingly told her it pained me that she mistook me for Adrien. We both laughed as I picked out the bread I wanted and some cookies for Caius. Caius loves fried tofu but settles for cookies when he's hungry. I had one more stop to make.

"Here's your order, dear. Thank you for your purchase," said Marinette's mom, Mrs. Sabine Dupain-Cheng, a kindhearted person like her husband, Mr. Tom Dupain. They always warmly welcomed me whenever I visited their shop or Marinette. Mrs. Sabine handed me my purchase, and I thanked them as I left. Marinette waved goodbye and went back to what she was doing.

"Y/n, I think it's better if we go home now. It's getting dark, and it's not good for a lady to wander at night. Also, you have night patrol later, so you should save your energy," Caius said, munching on his cookies inside my purse. But I was determined to visit the old man with the antique shop. My nightmares were getting worse, and I needed his help to find answers.

As I walked with no one else around, I said, "You know why, Caius. Do you not remember? When I first met him, it was outside his antique shop. A guy was trying to rob him, demanding money and food. Without hesitation, I confronted the guy and fought him off. I helped the old man inside, and when I touched a certain ornament, I had white flashes and a headache. After helping him and returning home, you suddenly appeared on my nightstand in a box with this hairpin inside."

We arrived at the bus stop and waited for the bus to take us the rest of the way. As the bus approached, I continued reflecting on the strange events that had led me to this point. The memory of the old man's shop was vivid. It was filled with ancient relics, mystical artifacts, and the smell of history. When I had touched that ornament, it felt like a piece of my past was unlocking. The white flashes were more than just headaches; they were glimpses of a life I couldn't fully remember.

"I know it's risky, Caius, but I need to find out more. These nightmares are getting worse, and I feel like they're connected to that artifact Mr. Agreste had," I whispered.

 Agreste had," I whispered
