Author's POV
9 YEARS LATER
The morning sun streamed through the curtains as Mihika woke up to the sound of little feet padding across the wooden floor. Rishita, their three-year-old daughter, clambered onto the bed, her laughter filling the room.
"Mama, Papa, wake up!" Rishita chirped, her bright eyes full of excitement.
Rajveer groaned playfully, pulling the covers over his head. "Is it morning already?"
Mihika laughed, sitting up and scooping Rishita into her arms. "Yes, it is. And someone's very eager to start the day."
They spent the morning in their cozy kitchen, with Rishita helping Mihika make pancakes. The smell of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the sweet aroma of syrup as Rajveer set the table.
As they sat down for breakfast, Rishita's chatter filled the room. "Mama, after breakfast, can we go to the park? Please?"
Mihika exchanged a smile with Rajveer. "Of course, sweetheart. We'll have a family day out."
After breakfast, they got ready and headed to the nearby park. Rishita ran around, giggling as she played on the swings. Mihika and Rajveer watched her, their hearts full of love and contentment.
"She's growing up so fast," Mihika said, leaning against Rajveer.
He nodded, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Every day with her is a blessing."
As they walked hand in hand, memories of the past surfaced. It had been seven years since they got married, surrounded by family and friends. Despite the initial hesitation from their families, their love and determination had won everyone over. The wedding had been a beautiful celebration of their journey and the promise of a shared future.
After their marriage, Mihika had accepted the promotion she once turned down. Supported by Rajveer, she thrived in her career, balancing work and family life with grace. Rajveer continued to manage his responsibilities at the hospital, always encouraging Mihika to pursue her dreams.
Their parents, once skeptical, had grown to adore Rajveer and Mihika's partnership. The couple's unwavering commitment to each other dispelled any lingering doubts, and their families became close, bonded by shared joy and experiences.
Back at home after the park, they settled into their living room. Rishita played with her toys while Mihika and Rajveer relaxed on the couch.
Mihika looked around at the family photos on the walls, each one a testament to their love and resilience. "I still can't believe how much we've been through," she said softly.
Rajveer smiled, squeezing her hand. "We've come a long way, haven't we?"
She nodded, resting her head on his shoulder. "And I wouldn't change a thing."
As they watched Rishita, their little miracle, they knew that their journey, though filled with challenges, had led to the beautiful life they now shared. Their love had grown stronger, and together, they faced the future with hope and happiness.
The conference room was filled with eager doctors and medical professionals, all eyes fixed on Rajveer as he delivered his presentation on upcoming medical workshops. He spoke confidently, his passion for the subject evident in every word.
Across the room, Mihika sat with a mischievous smile playing on her lips. She glanced at Rajveer, her fingers dancing over her phone's keyboard.
Mihika: Nice suit, Dr. Rajveer. Can't wait to see it on our bedroom floor tonight.
