Thomas opened his eyes to find warmth, brightness, and gold consuming everything. It had been so long since he had witnessed anything like this. The cold, dark world, void of the sun for so long after the many catastrophes, left the world in such a decayed state.

A good many people were around him dressed in pure white. The movement of the breeze against clothes and trees felt surreal and peaceful. Voices were gently talking, even calm laughter filled the air, different from the crude vulgarities and cruelties he’d witnessed for several years now.

In the center of a crowd walking by, a man stood out prominently. With pure white hair, eyes of fire, one would normal be terrified by His intense countenance, but instead Thomas felt a gentle familiarity with Him already. Thomas chuckled, the Son of God didn’t look anything like the ancient paintings had depicted at all. Thomas grinned as he caught the Son of God’s eyes. So Thomas finally met the Man that he’d been talking to for a while. Even now, the Son of God knew Thomas’s thoughts as He approached. Swiftly, the Son of God’s eyes crinkled in amusement as they darted behind Thomas.

Thomas, not quite liking a surpise behind him, attempted to turn but was stopped. Two delicate hands covered his eyes, as that familiar giggle popped right next to his ear. Thomas couldn’t contain himself. He twisted around and hoisted the form up in a fierce hug.

“Siren!?” he exclaimed excitedly, twirling her around with him. Happy laughter came from the crowd.

“Yup, that’s me,” she giggled.

“Oh how I missed you!” Thomas shot back.

Siren nodded emphatically, “We all know, you prayed to God all the time! Really now, you talked more to us than the living that were on the old Earth! We got all the messages and waited patiently. I missed you too!”

Thomas held her hands as the Son of God motioned for all His Host. The battle of Armageddon was at hand on the Earth! Thomas witnessed strange beings all over the sky. Both Siren and himself found themselves safe above on a thunder cloud along with other redeemed ones. The scene spanned so epically. This new reality would take him some time to get used to.

His new body seemed strong and swift, better than he had ever felt in youth. He clenched his fist in intrigue as he stared at his hand's speed and coordination. It was such a perfectly shaped structure that a model would be ashamed in comparison. Unable to see his reflection currently, he pondered what he truly looked like in wonder.

Siren took humor in this, understanding what his curiosity meant. She tussled his hair as she giggled at him playfully. He fixed what he could of it blindly. He confirmed her presence beside him as he looked at her intently. She looked dazzling, no beauty could compare, however he felt no urges of attraction, he merely wanted his best friend beside him innocently.

Gazing around, he caught sight of others, Peter, Rachuel, Tia, Sonji, Mari, Collins, Yuri,  Luz, Lao, and so many more. They, too, looked more than well. Thomas knew everything he suffered was worth them all being here with him. He gladly knew enduring his temporary earthly sufferings were a willing sacrifice.

Distracted with the events unfolding below, he confessed he hadn’t much time to think more of appearances. The two just held hands as they saw a scene so epic, so haunting. The men of earth had gathered together, the roar of many voices eerie as it echoed above. In the end of it, just as God had declared, victory was handed easily to the Son of God. Satan was bound, and the Lord, Jesus Christ, would now reign forever more the Just King of Righteousness.
