Siren looked over to Tolli, the other employee. She confessed never being alone with him, and it was indeed nice to avoid it normally. Luz sadly cut her hand badly as Lao left with her to the emergency room.

Siren waited patiently inside. Tolli looked at her, then the door. He was ready to leave, he made sure to stress his job was his job and once the time rang, he was out the door without concern for anybody. Siren couldn't lock up, and this rare chance with Luz and Lao at the hospital, she was forced briskly to wait outside by Tolli's verbal coercion. He locked up silently and went his way without so much as a goodnight.

So Siren waited in the dark next to the building, Thomas was four hours late tonight. Work had been brutal lately for him. Many days were sixteen to eighteen hours back to back. His off days required him to come in, too. She frowned while recalling his tired face to greet her. The strain of the day splashed all over him despite his smile to encourage her.

Shivering, tonight was cold. She vowed to endure it as she contemplated verses in her head. Something then kicked a can nearby, Siren searched, hoping it was an animal. She knew better though. This time of day, she knew what lurked in the darkness. The sounds of distant shouting in the air exemplified what really lurked out there.

Thomas hastened his stride to get to the bakery. He was perturbed how long it took to get freed of his work today! Seven hours! It was a dismal new record. He'd owe Luz more than an apology tonight.

He then froze. The bakery was dark, not a soul in it. He gulped, not understanding why this was. He immediately searched around the area. In a back alleyway, he heard a clatter. He didn't like that at all!

Thomas's eyes locked onto the image of his dear wife lying unconscious as a form above her began undressing layers, revealing skin only Thomas desired gaze at alone. His blood boiled immediately. He hardly could keep his rage well enough for focus. In the back of his mind, a brief flicker of a Bible passage ran through his mind. The quote in Proverbs six about a jealous husband won't be bought from his revenge.

So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent. Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away. For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

The man's eyes locked uncomfortably on Thomas, his nose and forehead bleeding. She gave a heck of a fight before being overpowered. The man had exposed her chest, but thankfully, no more than that.
Thomas swallowed hard. There was no consolation in his rage if Siren were harmed in any way. A very natural wrath welled up in him as he clenched his fist. Before he knew it, the man was on the ground and himself ready to deliver a fatal blow.

Trained in combat, he knew vital spots very well. Suddenly, he stopped himself however, this evil man was still a sinner who didn't understand his wicked acts. Thomas, in his heated passion, so vehemently wanted to desperately cut the man's life short, but inside his spirit yanked an opposite way.

Glaring hatefully at the man, Thomas rose as he angrily snapped, "I don't know how God could share mercy to a scum wad like you, but realize this, if I hadn't been halted by the unseen merciful God like I had, you'd be dead right now. I have been trained very well to kill. And think on this, what would you be doing after it all? You think you'd just disappear in death?"
