______________________________________Standing in front of a mirror , a young beautiful girl looks at herself with slightly squeezed eyes as she checks her eyeliner before smiling widely.
Then she put her specs on.
“Well,...you are beautiful, Shidya," she said to herself before giggling then huffing at her own antics.
"Okay okay,...now be serious Shidya. It's your first day of college. We don't want any problem, get it ..” she said to herself while wearing her earrings.
She nodded at herself satisfied with her look.
Now except for earrings, she didn't have any jewelry. Her face is glowing with her natural blush while her eyes adore with black eyeliner and lip balm on his lips. That's it. She is good to go clad in an infamous chikankari suit and jeans. And a pair of jutti.
Giving herself a last look, she went out of the room taking her scarf and bag.
As she reached down stairs, she saw an elderly lady sitting on a sofa and sipping her tea.
She walks towards her and touches her feet making the lady look at her.
“I am leaving for college, Badi ma," Shidya said, taking her blessings even if she didn't touch her head to bless her.
The lady looked at her dress then at her face before nodding her head.
"Come back on time. I don't want any unnecessary trouble from you.You are going there to study, so study only, understand?” Shidya just nodded before going out of the house.
“Don’t know why she needs to study this much unnecessary. And what is the need to go to the big city to study? Girls shouldn't give this much freedom," The lady said looking at Shidya going out and her expression turned sore.
“That you should ask your son, Ma ji," came a voice making the lady look at her daughter in law.
The lady named Jayanti glared at her daughter in law.
“Don’t speak too much, Dhara. He is your husband…" Dhara looked down and nodded."Go do your work,” she told her.
Dhara walked inside the kitchen mentally rolling her eyes following her mother in law's words.
Sitting on the window seat of the bus, Shidya is busy in her thoughts before she sighs and smiles looking at the rising sun.
