A/n: Back from my two months hiatus

"Right," I muttered sarcastically.

"I promise, Jason Grace has a crush on you," s/n repeated.

"How do you even know that?" I asked, still in disbelief.

"The whole camp knows."

"And why would that be?"

"Truth or dare game."

"We've never had a real talk," I exclaimed.

"He avoids you because he's too shy to talk to you!"

I rolled my eyes. "Fine, if I were to believe you, why would that be important?"

"Come on, you can't tell me you don't find him attractive, you literally avoid him as much as he avoids you."

"Pfff not true."

"You like him!" they teased.

"Maybe..." I mumbled in defeat.

"You should go and see him!" They grabbed my shoulder.

"No thank you," I wiggled myself out of their grip.

"You're no fun," they huffed.

"It's not my turn to do the dishes! " I exclaimed.

"Your... bunk was really messy," they said.

"I cleaned it just before cabin examination," I protested.

"Not clean enough."

"Whatever," I mumbled.

They led me to the kitchens and turned the door lock. The door is never locked so it took me by surprise.

Before they opened the door, they looked at me with a sorry expression.

"Please don't hate me for this," they spoke as they pushed me into the room, locking the door behind me.

"What in the name of Tartarus was that for?" I banged against the door in frustration. "Hey, let me out!"

"No use..." someone mumbled behind me, and my head whipped around.

Jason Grace was standing before me, placing his glasses back on his nose. Somebody had orchestrated this.

I huffed. "How long have you been-"

He looked down at his watch. "2 minutes."

I sat on the kitchen counter;

"Not even any dishes to do," I grumbled.

"Yeah," he chuckled sheepishly.

We stared at each other until he leant on the counter in front of me.

"They're so annoying," I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah..." he agreed and then mumbled a curse word under his breath.

I chuckled.

"What?"

"I just didn't see you as the type to swear," I shrugged.

"Well, I am... from time to time... rarely," he muttered, placing his hand on his neck.

I chuckled again. His face broke into a small smile. I grinned at him.

"Nice to finally meet you Jason Grace," I teased.

"Oh, uh, nice to meet you too," he stuttered.

"Let's see if the rumours are true."

"What rumours?" his eyes widened.

"I'm just messing with you," I smiled.

He chuckled nervously.

"So, Jason Grace, are you really like the leader they talk about."

"There's a lot of layers to me that not everybody know about," he mumbled, fiddling with his glasses.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Just because I'm a leader, it doesn't mean that I'm confident all the time."

I nodded. "Yeah, I imagined."

And we talked for hours.

"You're not how I imagined you'd be," I joked.

"Well I certainly am not like Percy," he sighed.

"That's fine. You don't have to be Percy. You just have to be Jason."

"Thanks," he smiled.

"No problem," I returned the smile, hopping off the counter of the kitchen. "When do you think they'll let us out?"

"I'm fine with staying here," the blond shrugged, his glasses slightly falling off his nose.

My smile widened, and I placed his glasses back. His cheeks turned a beetroot red.

He mimicked me, placing my hair behind my ear. Our stares met and stayed riveted on each other.

We heard the lock of the door and both our heads turned towards the door.

"Bet you they were listening at the door," I whispered to him.

"Probably," he agreed, touching my shoulder.

A tinkle of electricity shot through me.

The door opened, and s/n stood behind it.

"Now, all you have to do is ask her out, Jason," they exclaimed.

"I-" he mumbled.

"I accept your date offer," I interrupted him. "Just tell me when and where."

"I- uh, don't know yet."

"Then text me the details."

"I don't have your number," he mentioned.

S/n handed him a piece of paper. "The number in question."

"I'll text you," he promised and jolted away.

a/n: Another cute one. Do you prefer telling your feelings first or they tell you first?
