The following night, Elena was plagued by a vivid and disturbing dream. She found herself standing in the midst of the stone circle, the fog swirling around her like a living entity. The Bramble King appeared in her dream as a towering, shadowy figure, with eyes glowing like embers. His voice was a low, echoing growl that reverberated through her very soul.
"You have disturbed my domain," the Bramble King intoned, his voice filled with ancient rage. "Now you will suffer the consequences."
Elena woke with a start, her heart racing and her body drenched in sweat. The dream had felt so real that she could still feel the chill of the mist and hear the haunting echo of the Bramble King's voice. She lay in bed, unable to shake the sense of dread that clung to her.
The next morning, Simon arrived at Elena's house to find her pale and shaken. She recounted the details of her dream, and Simon listened intently.
"That's unsettling," Simon said. "Do you think it means something?"
Elena nodded. "I'm afraid it does. The Bramble King seems to be aware of us. We need to take action before things get worse."
Simon suggested seeking help from Elda, the village elder. Though reclusive, Elda was known for her knowledge of ancient lore and rituals. Elena agreed, and the two of them made their way to Elda's secluded home on the edge of the village.
