I'll Return (I'll Wait pt. 2, End)

To my puppy,

I'm so sorry I haven't been writing back. I've been working on a surprise for you, and there's been so much schoolwork that I haven't been able to focus on anything else.

I do remember when you asked me out. I pretended to be upset, but in reality I was so relieved that I didn't have to find the right words to say in that moment, because you said them for me.

I remember when I said you were my home, and you still are. You always will be. I can't wait to return to my home. I can't wait to return to you, love.

I remember when I showed you my song. I was so nervous to show you, but when you smiled and told me you loved it, I was so relieved and so happy. I was happy because I made you happy.

I remember being heartbroken because you were so insecure about your smile after what those awful people said. I had sworn to make whoever had said that regret it, and with Changbin's help I did just that.

After they apologized, I helped you love your smile again. It took time and patience, but it was so worth it to be able to see your adorable smile again.

I have a feeling you'll love the surprise I'm working on right now. As soon as it's finished, I'll come back to you. I can finish school in Korea if it means I'll be with you again. I completely underestimated how hard it would be to be away for so long, and as much as it tears you apart, it hurts me just the same.

You don't have to wait much longer, I'll return soon. Just hold on a little longer, yeah? I'll be with you again soon. I won't make you wait much longer. Just wait a couple more months and I'll return, I promise.
