Chapter 9

Jasmine P.O.V

It was now 6:48 and Aug was suppose to be here at 7. I was a nervous wreck.

"Tash what if she doesn't like me" I whined into the phone.

"Girl I know my Aunt, she gone love you. She just gone ask some questions but other then that you good" She said

"Well I hope so" I said.

"Call me later and tell me how it goes" She said.

"Okay" I said and hung up.

I had Kia in her room unless Aug's mama wanted to see her. But I doubt Kia would wanna leave her room because she is always occupied.

"Come open the door bae" - Aug👫💞

I didn't even reply I just went to the door. When I opened it, I saw him and his mother.

"Hey babe, Hi Mrs. Alsina" I said nervously.

"Hi Jasmine, it's so nice to meet you" She said hugging me.

Well that's a start.

We all went into the dinning room where I had the food out and drinks out.

"So Aug tells me your employed" She said smirking.

"Yes, I work at a hospital full time" I said.

"That's great, I see your very wealthy. You have a decent house, decent car. I like you already" She said winking.

"Aw thanks" I said smiling.

Me and Aug were about to dig in until..

"Boy I know you know betta den dat. Say grace" She hollered at Aug.

"Aight dang Mama" He said annoyed. "God bless this food we are about to recieve, Amen" He said and dug in.

We were all eating in silence Mama Shelia finally spoke.

"You from hea Jas?" She asked.

"Yes, born and raised. My parents moved down to Miami" I spoke.

"Why? If you don't mind me asking" She said.

"Well I do have a 7 year old child" I said looking down. I aint wanna see her reaction but when I looked up at her, I couldn't read her face. "But um my parents moved after I had Ky and they just couldn't be in New York anymore" I finished.

"Is ya daughta hea?" She asked.

"Yeah she's in her room, probably sleep or watching tv" I said honestly.

My baby never plays with her iPad.

"I wanna meet this lil lady, when you speak about her I could tell she's bright" She said smiling.

"She's my world but um let me get her" I said and walked off.

I walked up to Ky's room and sure enough she was knocked out.

I went back downstairs and told Mama Shelia she was sleep and she understood.

"Come on out back Jas I wanta talk to ya" Aug said.

We went into my backyard..

"She likes ya" He said grinning.

"I know I thought it would've heen worst but no" I said chessing.

"Now go talk to ha" He said and I went off to talk to Mama Shelia.

We went to where me and Aug were before.

"So you love my son?" She asked.

"I could see myself loving him. He's generous, caring and funny" I said.
