Chapter 25

Jasmine P.O.V

"I've been really good Jas. Just a single mom trying make it on my own" Courtney said.

We were currently at dinner and of course I had to bring along Ky and Court brought her son. For some reason he looked like TJ but maybe it was just me.

"That's good. If you need anything you know I'm here" I said to her.

"I know, now what's up with T. I miss him" She said. "The last time I seen him was when he told me he got drafted and he left." She finished looking down at her plate.

"Um yeah-" I said. I really didn't know how to say this. "Courtney I need to tell you something but please don't like you know go crazy up in here" I said.

"Okay" She said looking weird at me.

"Last month, T was hit. And as in hit I mean he was shot in the heart twice. He passed" I said looking at her.

She stayed silent for a good 5 minutes. Taking in what I just said.

"You serious?" She said and looked up at me.

"Yes, we know who did it, that's being handled" I said.

I honestly felt bad at this point. Her facial expression made me wanna break down.

"I j-" She stopped talking and took a deep breathe. "I just can't believe he's gone. We haven't spoken in years and everybody knew what our relationship was like." She said

"Everybody knew" I said smiling. Back in the days TJ and Court were definitely the best couple.

"Remember when me and you jumped that girl for talking shit about him" She said chuckling.

"Yes that was mad funny. I actually felt bad after." I said. "Will you watch Ky for a sec I need to run to the bathroom" I finished saying.

Although I was 8 months pregnant I nearly sprinted to the bathroom. As I finished up peeing I seen TJ's reflection in the mirror.

"You ain't have to tell her like that. In a public place? Come on sis" TJ said.

"I had to tell her, how else was I going to?" I asked confused.

"Nothing sis anyways let Court know I've always loved her and never moved on." He said. "Might have fucked a couple bitches but eh" He chuckled.

"Your a mess but I will. Now get outta here before someone thinks I'm crazy talking to myself" I said laughing.

"See ya later sis" He said and he vanished.

I went back out to the table we were sitting at and seen Courtney looking at old pictures of her and T.

At this point I felt bad for even telling her.

"You okay?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah I'm okay, it just doesn't seem real you know? I'll live on with him in me." She said smiling.

Thinking about what T just told me I went on and told her.

"You know before he passed he told me he always loved you and never moved on." I said smirking.

"Really?" She said as her face lit up.

"Yup, he always use to be like sis I swear I'm not moving on. I can't do that to Court man" I mocked in his voice.

She started laughing.

"He's a mess man" She said.

"Surely was. Now how old is your son?" I asked curious.
