The School Duel between Duel Academy and North Academy was a few days away. The faculty members and students were generally relaxing, among other things. Ash, on the other hand, was reviewing his deck.
He was sitting in one of the classrooms.
'I have no idea what cards to use in the school duel.' He thought.
After saying those words, he was surrounded by five people. Specifically Alexis, Jaden, Syrus, Chumley and Bastion. Each of them was holding a Duel Monster card.
"Can I help you guys with something?" He asked after lifting his head, not sure why they had approached him.
"My Water Dragon would make a fine addition for your deck." Bastion spoke up.
"That Water Dragon is a total washout." Alexis said. "You need something strong like Etolie Cyber."
"Flame Wingman could help you out." Jaden added.
"How about my Des Koala?" Chumley asked.
"You can use Power Bond if you want to." Syrus suggested.
"What I need most right now is time to think of a strategy to deal with my opponent." He insisted.
"We're only trying to help." Bastion explained.
"If you don't win, it's going to be a huge disappointment." Alexis added.
"I'm aware. The only thing I can do is duel at my best."
"You're absolutely right. Dueling isn't about trophies, it's about doing the best you can." Bastion said.
"Yeah." Alexis agreed.
"And the best needs the power of my Water Dragon card."
"Or Power Bond."
"Or Etolie Cyber."
"No, Flame Wingman."
"Des Koala all the way."
"Hey!" The five heard Misty yell from nearby.
They then had bumps on their heads after being struck by her mallet.
"Leave him alone." She ordered strongly.
Ash breathed a sigh of relief that he could now focus.
"I appreciate that." He was thankful Misty put a stop to what was going on before having to resort to scaring them off with Blue-Eyes.
Now Ash could continue preparing for it without any more disturbances.
He went back to doing just that.
"I'll make sure you're not disturbed anymore." Misty dragged the five away one by one.
To get Chumley out of the room due to how heavy he was, she needed some help from Brock.
Ash nodded and then went back to reviewing his deck without any more interference from the others.
His preparation also involved finding out everything he could about North Academy.
Hopefully the library could help out.
'Is there a book that can help.' He thought, scanning through a bookshelf.
One of the book's titles was 'Nearby Duel Schools'.
'Let's see what this tells me.' He opened the book.
The information in the book was more helpful than he had expected.
"Should I challenge someone to a duel?" Ash asked himself.
