It had been two full weeks since Lawrence and I talked. The most we'd talk was when we exchanged the kids back and forth. A few times he tried to be petty and keep the kids longer just so I would talk to him and make him bring the kids back to me. Aiden would act out if he didn't see me for longer than two days. Lawrence couldn't stand it because he preferred to be with me over him. Wasn't my fault I was the lit parent!

I was currently getting the kids ready to go with Lawrence.

"Mama Keisha?" He just recently started calling me that.

"Yes A?"

"Why Daddy keep coming to pick us up and taking us to Poppa Ray's house? Why he not here with us no more?" I knew this line of questioning was coming. Aiden was very observant. He can easily read a room and know when the vibe is off.

"Daddy did something mean to me and I'm mad at him right now. So in order for us not to fight—"

"You put Daddy on a long time out!"

"Yep!"

"Well Daddy must be really old because, Nana said you stay on time out for however old you are in minutes. Daddy must be a million years old him been gone for a long time!"

I tried to muffle my laugh but it escaped anyway. Aiden look at me crazy. Wondering why I was laughing when he was completely serious.

"Well maybe if Daddy genuinely apologizes I may let him get out of time out. Until then, hope you're having fun at Poppa's house."

"It's fun sometimes, when Daddy takes us somewhere or we get to play with Zeke and
Ra! Other than that it's Bor-ring!" Aiden and I talked for few until I heard hurried knocks at my door. I knew it was Lawrence by his knock. I don't know why he doesn't use the key. Guess he was respecting my wishes. I opened the door to him. Gotdamn this man is fine as fuck! He was standing at my door in gray sweatpants and a gray shirt. Who knew something so basic could look so fine! Not to mention his cologne was light and dancing in nose. He smelled so good. I missed his scent.

"Hey Keisha! The kids ready?" Did his voice get deeper? My body instantly reacted to it.

"Yes. I was getting Sofia dressed but she fell asleep. Both their overnight bags are right here. I wasn't sure what you didn't have so I packed it."

"You didn't have to. They have more than enough stuff at the house."

"What house?" I know he wasn't talking about the house he shared with Ro? His father had made it very clear he wasn't gonna crowd his house with our kid's stuff. So he needed to find a place or go make it right with me.

"My house. You know I never gave up my place." I instantly got a attitude and just rolled my eyes walking off leaving him to follow.

"I know you don't have an attitude? Clearly you told me I ha—"

"DADDY!" Aiden cut him off mid sentence as he screamed and ran into his arms.

"What's up big man? What you been eating you're heavier than I remember you been lifting weights?" He said as he began to toss him up and down.

"No!" Aiden laughed. "Mama Keisha been making sure I eat my vegetables and good stuff!" Lawrence looked back at me when he called me Mama. I humped my shoulders and walked into my room only to find Sofia back up playing with the remote.

"Lawren look who's here!" Sofia looked up just as Lawrence walked in the room. Pushing herself up and standing on the bed.

"Get the fuck outta here! When my baby start doing this Kei?" He watched in amazement as Sofia stood up clapping her hands. I started laughing because this was my first time seeing it as well. I guess she really was moving out the way.
