I was sitting on the bed watching Lawrence get ready to leave for a short work trip. To say I was relieved would be an understatement. He has been up my ass since the "false alarm". Which was months ago. "Keisha did you take your vitamins?" "Baby Mama sit down!" "Bae you're not supposed to be lifting that!" He was getting on my nerves with treating me like I couldn't do anything.
" Kei. Baby. Your mama and my mama coming over to sit with you in about a hour."
"Lawrence I don't need a babysitter I'm perfectly fine."
"No you're not with Sofia being mobile and Aiden having to be at practice this week. That's too much on you right now."
"I can walk just fine. Sofia is not that bad and A can pretty much do everything himself. I'm not on bed rest. I'm fine!" I moved to the edge of the bed and tried to get up.
"See look at you! You can barely get up!" He rushed over to me. "That's because this baby's head is huge and she's already head down. Remind me to never give you none again." I grabbed his hand for balance. "Girl please! You're the one who be begging for all of this!" He said rolling his eyes. "Whatever! Bae don't forget our baby shower is this weekend. Please make sure you're back in time." "I promise to be back in time! LaLa make sure you stay in until I get back!" "She better! I didn't even want a baby shower but our mamas insisted on this!" I was against having a shower honestly. Sofia had plenty of things still left over. Nafeesa also begged to have a joint shower. I felt like this should've been her moment being her first baby. I just said yes so she wouldn't cry.
Few Days Later...

We had decided to get dressed for the baby shower at Lawerence's parents house because it was close to the venue and we were on a time limit so we were trying to prevent the run around.
"Nafessa and Keisha why are yall still not dressed?" Ms. Debbi asked. Nafessa and I had been having Braxton Hicks contracts all morning. "Mommy/Ma!" We both said. "I don't know if these kids are in cahoots or what but these contractions are not letting up!" Nafeesa whined. "Are they lasting a long time?" Ms. Debbi asked her. "No. Just off and on. Like now!" Nafessa stood straight up. "Can somebody go get Tae please?" She said as she breathed through the contractions. "Fee if the contractions are that strong. You might be in labor." Ms. Debbi said as she waved Tae into the room. "That was the strongest one. But it's over now!" Tae came into the room overly concerned per usual. "Baby what's wrong? How can I fix it?" He asked as he beelined to Nafeesa. "Talk to your baby! I want to make it through this baby shower." Tae kneeled down cupping Nafessa stomach in his hands. "Hey there Junebug! I know you're ready to see mommy and daddy we're ready to see you too. But could you give mommy a break until after we get our gifts! Can't have us out here looking ungrateful."
