When they get back to the dorms, a newly risen-from-the-dead Beomgyu declares that they're having a film night and Yeonjun has graciously allowed them to use his room.

"Not optional," he says, when he sees Soobin opening his mouth.

Taehyun showered at the gym, so he goes to get the ice cream from the freezer whilst Soobin heads to the bathroom.

In the shower, Soobin tilts his head back under the spray, closing his eyes, his conversation with Taehyun replaying in his mind. Soobin can't keep denying it, can't keep insisting to himself that it's not mutual, not when he's never seen Yeonjun's wrist. But what can he even do? It's not like he can just walk up to Yeonjun and say, hey, do you have a soulmark?

As much as Taehyun seems to think it might be mutual, Soobin's read enough forum posts by now under the cover of darkness in his room when he can't sleep to know that it doesn't always work out that way for soulmates. And whilst he thinks Yeonjun would handle it well, if he found out Soobin had a soulmark but he himself didn't have Soobin's name in return, it would still change things.

Soobin opens his eyes, looking down at Yeonjun's name on his wrist. He runs his thumb over the hangul, tracing the lines of his name.

After his shower he pulls on a pair of soft grey sweatpants and an oversized black shirt, along with a pale yellow soulband he got once at a photoshoot. It's one of his favourites, soft and smooth to the touch, the material light like a whisper of air against his skin. He makes sure to knot it tight.

As he towel dries his hair in the mirror, he gets a message on his phone. He swipes it open to see a screenshot of several engagement graphs between the members, updated versions of the ones management had up on screen in his last meeting. Automatically, he scrolls through to find the Soobin/Yeonjun one.

Someone yells his name from down the hall. He closes the message, does a quick tone and moisturise and then takes out his contacts, switching to his glasses, and heads for Yeonjun's room.

His members are all piled on Yeonjun's bed, Beomgyu's gaming laptop open on top of a cabinet which they've dragged over to the side of the bed. Kai is happily spooning ice cream straight out of the tub into his mouth. When Soobin enters, he offers the spoon to him.

Soobin scrunches up his nose. "Mint choco isn't a real flavour."

"Yah, take that back — Oh," says Yeonjun. His head is tilted back over the side of the bed as he looks up at Soobin, gaze slightly unfocused.

It takes Soobin a moment to realise why: Yeonjun is looking at his glasses.

Ignoring the embarrassment at being stared at, Soobin climbs onto the bed next to Beomgyu and reaches for the spoon in the tub of plain chocolate ice cream he's currently hoarding. "Now this is a real flavour." He feels Yeonjun's eyes on him the whole time as Beomgyu hands the ice cream tub to him. "So, what's the film about?"

"True love~" Beomgyu sings, curling up against his side so he can rest his head on his shoulder.

"Ew." Soobin pulls a face. "Can we vote no?"

"Too late. You shouldn't have spent so long showering, Soobinnie-hyung."

"It doesn't look like he finished," Yeonjun drawls.

A hand reaches up the back of Soobin's neck, fingers sinking into his still-damp hair. He knows instinctively without having to look that it's Yeonjun and quickly eats a spoonful of ice cream to cover the shiver that sparks its way lazily down his spine.

"He got very sweaty at the gym," Taehyun says, from where he's stretched out on the bed next to Yeonjun, feet crossed at his ankles.

"You were at the gym?"
