I blushed and said well I would prefer a puppy as for size it doesn't matter as I have a large yard and a big house. I smiled as she nodded and said well first things, first, I need you to fill out the paperwork." I smiled as I filled out the request to adopt and smiled as she brought out a German Shepherd puppy and smiled as the puppy squirms in my lap, trying to lick me. I smiled as I picked him up and laughed as he throughly washed my face and smiled as I gave him a big hug and kissed his forehead. I smiled and said I love him. I smiled as she nodded and said I can see that. I frowned as he whimpers and sniffed at me trying to distract me as I was struggling with my mental state. I smiled and looked up at the receptionist and said do you think he'd make a good ESA? I smiled as she nodded and said oh yes he's great in that regard in fact the staff here where considering getting him licensed to visit the psychiatric ward at the hospital. I frowned and looked down at the puppy and smiled as he began chasing his own butt growling while trying to catch his tail. I smiled and laughed as I scooped him up and smiled as he began licking my face vigorously. I smiled and said, "How much does he cost?" She smiled and said he's sponsored and has no adoption fee. I blushed and said oh OK I'll take him. I smiled as she said OK I frowned as she said what's his name going to be? I frowned and thought for a moment and chuckled as he began chasing his tail again. I smiled and said Chase. She smiled and said that's a great name. I smiled and knelt down and said Come here chase! I smiled as he barked and jumped on me and began licking ever inch he could reach. I smiled as I laughed and began scratching his ears. I smiled as he wagged his tail happily and said oh uh how's his temperament around infants? I smiled as she looked at me and said oh he's great with kids of all ages the only flag we've had is he's prone to barking at things that look threatening. I shifted and said oh that's actually great. I frowned and shifted as I said I'll need to get you toys, puppy chow, and leash, bed and flea treatment, etc. I smiled as she chuckled and set a care box on the floor with everything I needed to take care of Chase. I smiled as I picked up a squeaky toy and said fetch tossing the toy. I smiled as Chase barked and happily ran, caught the toy mid-air. I smiled as he brought it back and smiled as I kissed his forehead and said such a good boy. I smiled as he sat down and panted happily as I gave him plenty of rubs and affection. I smiled and said well boy you ready to go meet your new brother? I smiled as he barked and licked my face. I smiled as I carried him out and back to the Café and said Cricket can you go get Butterbean and have her bring my brother out. Cricket nodded and said of course. I smiled as she went inside.
