Later that day, Elaena and Jacaerys were told more terrible news. Ser Arryk was sent by Aegon to kill their mother. Thankfully, he did not succeed. His twin brother, Ser Erryk protected her, fighting his brother, and eventually having to kill him. He ended his own life moments after, for although he and his brother were on opposite sides of this war, they were family, and they loved each other.

The next day Rhaenyra, Elaena and Jacaerys stood and watched as the two brothers were being buried. They were birthed together, and now they had died together.

"He is the basest of villains. He sullies the grace of his brother" Jacaerys said staring at the scene as he held his wife who stood beside him.

"Jace you cannot fault him for keeping his oath. I hate him for what he did, but he was scared" Elaena told her husband, her wide eyes looking up at him.

"Indeed" their mother said, smiling down at her daughter, before picking up some soil, and playing with it in her hand.

"And what of those who sent him?" Jacaerys said looking at the two with an angered face.

"What if they'd gone for you?" He whispe yelled in Elaenas ear making her sigh, but she said nothing.

When Jacaerys realised she wasn't going to say something, he sighed rolling his eyes as he began to walk away. Elaena watched him for a moment before beginning to follow him. He walked quickly, and she struggled to keep up. After a few minutes she spoke.

"Jacea wait!" She yelled, as he was now quite a bit in front of her.

He sighed, but complied. He stopped walking, standing in place before turning to her as she walked up to her.

"I'm sorry. I know your angry, I am too, I'm just tired of it all" she said placing a hand on his cheek as she finished.

He sighed "I know" he said, placing his hand on top of hers as he gave her a weak smile.

She dropped her hand, before turning to face the large blue waves, staring into them, her face showing she was thinking.

"What troubles you, my love?" He asked, pulling her closer to him by her waist.

"I- it's nothing" She said, looking down in embarrassment.

"Lena" he began.

"No, we haven't spoke of the matter before, it's fine" she said.

"Tell me" he demanded, moving to stand in front of her, so she couldn't avoid eye contact with him.

She sighed, knowing he wouldn't give up "I was just thinking. It's so sad. I don't want to have kids if this will be their live. Fighting" she said.

He sighed placing his hand on her back "we will wait, until the time is right. I don't want them growing up like that either" he told her.

She nodded at his words, a comforting smile making its way onto her face. He smiled back at her, leaning down and giving her a gentle kiss, his arms wrapping around her.

However the kiss quickly changed, as Elaena wrapped her arms around him as well, trying to get as close as possible to him. He smirked at her actions, pulling her flush against him, making her gasp in suprise, pulling away for a moment.

He laughed at her, muttering "Gevie" as he leant down to kiss her once more, his tongue making its way inside her mouth, as she moaned. (Beautiful)

They continued for a few minutes, missing each other's presence. They hadn't had much alone time since this war had begun, as their time had been taken up by war plans and letters.

They quickly pulled away when someone cleared their throat behind them. They turned to see their mother, trying to hold in a laugh.

"I'm going inside, I want you two in too, you know I don't like you out after dark" she said making them nod.

They watched as she left, before Elaena broke out in laughter, making Jacaerys nod his head at her, a smile making its way across his face once more, as they walked into the castle.

That evening Elaena stood in her nightgown, undoing her plait as she faced her husband, who was laying on their bed, shirtless.

"Mother is going to send Rhaena away to protect the children " she said.

"I heard. It's a good idea" he said.

"Indeed, however she is annoyed. She told me the only reason she was sent was because she had no dragon, and sadly, it's true" Elaena sighed, placing her hair clip onto the wooden nightstand.

"It is unfair. I don't know what I'd do without vermax" he admitted watching as his wife eventually got into the bed with him.

She sighed, rolling over to face him, her hand against her head as she sat up slightly to look at him. "I'd go crazy without pearl" she laughed.

"Oh I know you would" he laughed along with her.

She moved to lie on her back, closing her eyes. She sighed in contentment. She was finally going to get some peace that day.

However Jacaerys had other ideas, moving to hover over her as he began to kiss down her neck, making her sigh with a happy face.

She gasped as his hand moved to her thigh, slowly moving it up, doing it so slow to tease her, making her groan in annoyance.

"Don't tease me" she whispered with an angry face, making him laugh at her.

She gasped out loudly as his hand reached where she wanted it to. Rolling her hips against his hand.

"Eager are we?" He said in her ear making her groan.

"I want you jace" she said with a pleading look.

"As you wish" he told her.

He moved to remove his clothes, before lifting her nightgown over her head, leaving her completely bare as well.

After a minute of kissing her, he gently placed himself at her entrance. He pushed himself inside her deeply, making her hold onto his tightly as she moaned out loudly.

"So good" she smiled as he began to move out of her at a fast pace.

"Issa pretty hāedar" he said, holding her against him as they both got louder, getting closer to their peaks. (My pretty girl)

They both yelled out loudly, climaxing at the same time, panting as they held each other, their eyes closed in pleasure.

"I love you jace" She said as he lay down beside her, pulling the sheets over them again.

"And I you, forever" he said kissing her temple softly, before they both drifted off to sleep.
