The next morning all members of council sat at the council table. Elaena and Jacaerys stood, watching and listening intently behind them.

They all turned as they heard footsteps. Princess Rhaenys walked in "Still no sightings. No men. No horses, no ships, no dragons" she said, taking off her gloves and standing beside Rhaenyra.

"Good. Then we must seize the hour and act before our enemy does. They have penetrated out castle walls and now the river lands are aflame after the battle of the burning mill. How fares prince Daemon with our army?" A man said.

Elaena looked down, buting her lip slightly. There was now a tension in the air. Daemon had taken off after his argument with Rhaenyra and had not been heard of since.

"There has been no word from Prince Daemon, your grace" The maester said to Rhaenyra who sat at the head of the table.

"Then we must press what advantage we do have" a man said confidently.

"And what is that?" Elaena asked annoyed at the man who never seemed to keep his mouth shut.

"Dragons. Send them all out. Start turning green strongholds to our cause, and burn those who resist." He said making Elaena roll her eyes.

"I will not put my dragon in danger until it is very necessary" she said squinting her eyes at the man.

"Then why do you even have one?! I think you-" the man shot back but was cut off by the girls husband.

"I suggest you shut your mouth, my lord" he said in a warning tone with a glare on his face.

"I- my apologies, my princess" he said looking at his hands in fear.

"My daughter is right. If dragons begin fighting dragons we invite our own destruction. Fear of it is in itself a weapon. The greens will make the same calculation" Rhaenyra said.

The man who had disrespect Elaena not one minute ago, decided he would disrespect the queen too. He laughed loudly at her, making Elaena glare at him. How dare he?

"The value of a sword is not within its scabbard" he said staring at Rhaenyra.

"We will secure victory with armies, not with dragons alone. The greens understand that" Rhaenyra said:

Elaena smiled as she saw Rhaenys stare at the man, making him look at away.

"The vale and the north will send men. We must give Daemon time" Rhaenyra said sighing.

"Your grace, you have witnessed firsthand just how vulnerable you are" one of the lords began.

Elaenas eyes widened at the man's choice of words "Vulnerable?" She asked sharing an annoyed look with Jacaerys on her right.

The man ignored her and continued "Prince Daemon is abroad, and Aegons factions are enraged at the death of his son. You have never been so exposed!" The man said making Elaena scoff in disbelief.

"Perhaps it is time for you to think about secreting yourself somewhere safe, you and the princess Elaena" the man said.

Jacaerys brows furred at this "My wife will not be sent anywhere. She is a great asset to this council, more than you" he said sentinel the man a warning look.
