Rhaenyra walked up to Rhaenys, asking Rhaena if she could speak with her grandmother alone. Rhaenyra had not seen the girl in a long time. Rhaena agreed, walking away.

Rhaenys and Rhaenyra spoke of Laenor, where  Rhaenyra swore she love him, and had nothing to do with his death. Rhaenyra then spoke.

"Let me make you a deal. Back Lucerys claim and I will betroth him to your Rhaena, she will rule alongside him, when they are older." Rhaenyra offered, silently praying that the older woman wouod agree.

"And what of your eldest?" Rhaenys asked, wondering why the women hadn't included him in her deal.

"I would betroth Jacaerys to Baela, but....I fear he may murder me. He has clear feelings for another" Rhaenyra explained with a small smile.

"Who?" Rhaenys wondered, her face showing confusion.

"Elaena. I have noticed this for years now. They shall marry, maybe not now, but in the future I am certain" Rhaenyra explained.

Rhaenys nodded her head "I myself noticed their bond when they were merely children, this is no surprise to me, nor to anyone else here I would guess" she said with a smirk.

"No deal you make with me, shall change any hightowers mind, know that, princess" Rhaenys added, her smile dropping before walking away.

Rhaenyra watched her go, worry written on her face. From how Rhaenys said the words, it's seems as though she would not take up the offer.

Elaena wondered the halls of kings landing, bored out of her mind, her brothers had gone to the library, leaving her alone.

She turned the corner to see two familiar faces, Baela and Rhaena. "Cousins!" She yelled

"Elaena?" They both yelled, running up to hug their dark haired cousin tightly.

"It had been too long" Elaena smiled.

"Indeed it had, how have you been?" Rhaena asked her.

"I've been well, and you?" Elaena asked.

"We are well. How's Jace?" She said, giving her cousin a suggestive face before laughing.

Elaena rolled her eyes playfully before answering "He's fine" with a smile.

"Please do not tell me you two have not confessed yet, you are both clearly head over heels for each other!" Baela said with a smirk.

"We um, we've kissed" Elaena said.

"What?!" Rhaena yelled excitedly.

"A few times" Elaena nodded to her cousins.

"A few times?! Oh thank you sweet gods!" Baela said.

"Stop teasing me!" Elaena said with a playful angry face.

"I'll tell you something, your children will be very handsome indeed" Rhaena said making her sister nod in agreement.

"Stop!" Elaena said.

"Never!" Baela answered making the three of them burst into loud laughs.

The next day Rhaenyra had told her children that they must dress for the throne room, that they're like have to fight for Lucerys rightful claim to Driftmark.

They arrived, standing on opposite sides of the room than the Targaryens, who were all glaring daggers at them.

Elaena stood slightly behind  Jacaerys, her head poking slightly over his shoulder. She saw her aunt Halaena, and sent her a light smile, which she returned. No matter what happened with their families, she'd never hate her aunt, she had no reason to.
