Chapter Twenty One

A/N - just a warning, things get a little spicy towards the end, feel free to skip if you don't want that

Y/N walked into the bar to see Laxus slumped over the bar with a drink in his hand and Bickslow sat next to him with his back against the bar, making jokes to Laxus who seemed very uninterested in whatever he was saying. 

"Hey look Y/N is here!" Bickslow cheered, nudging Laxus to get his attention. Laxus, looked over to see that it was indeed Y/N stood there. Y/N stood in his gaze for a second before offering a small smile, and beginning to walk over to the men. Laxus offered a small smile in return before turning back to the bar. "Well, that's my que to leave, see ya later dude," Bickslow said standing up and patting Laxus on the back before walking away.

"Hey Laxus."

"Hey, what's up?" Laxus asked?

"Well, I was talking to Evergreen."

"That's never good," he chuckled

"Apparently not." Y/N chuckled back. "Anyway, she told me that about your dad... About how he got banished... She wouldn't tell me what happened after that though, told me to come and talk to you about it." Y/N explained, sitting next to him. He sat there looking into his drink for a while before he took a sip of it. He sighed before he opened his mouth to speak.

"Did she tell you about the part where I'm a monster?" he said taking another sip of his drink, "about the part where I hurt everyone in the guild, including them three. My best friends in the world... and I hurt them, ordered them to harm the people they loved. And when Freed..." he gulped "And when Freed tried to stop me, told me I was going to far. Told me I was harming those I cared about. I hurt him. I used these powers of mine to harm the man I love. The man I think of as my brother." He took another, much larger sip of his drink before ordering another two, one of which he slide over to Y/N, which they looked at and took a big gulp of, their face twisting with the taste of the drink. 

"I wanted to avenge my father. He always said that the guild was full of weaklings, who were dragging down the guilds reputation. People who never took on jobs, people who failed more jobs than they completed. People who did more damage then good. I hated it. I vowed that when I became master, I'd change that. Kick out the weaklings and form a new guild. A where only the strong and worthy would be amongst our ranks." 

"Wow Laxus, I don't know what to say." Y/N said mimicking Laxus by picking up the glass a swirling the drink around before downing the rest of the glass, their face twisting once again.

"Don't take such large sips if your not used to it." He snapped at them. "I'm sorry, do as you like," he said ordering two more drinks and once again sliding one over to Y/N.

"I don't think you're capable of hurting anyone. Not intently anyway." Y/N replied.

"Well I did, first I ignored their cries for help when another guild attacked them. Then I had Ever turn the other girls into stone and held them hostage, and forced them to fight against each other, threatening to kill to kill the girls if they disobeyed. Heck, I even sent the thunder legion out to finish them off." He paused to take another large sip. Y/N copying him once again. "Long story short, Ever got beaten up, the girls returned to normal, so I took the whole town hostage, shot lighting at Freed, started a fight with Dragneel & Redfox."

Y/N looked at Laxus, they turned his head to make eye contact, they opened their mouth to say something.

"After that went down, Freed burst in, telling me that gramps had fallen ill with the stress. They didn't think he'd make it. That's when I casted it. A powerful spell. One of the three grand fairy spells, a spell that wipes out anyone the caster deems an enemy, I was going to wipe out them all."
