red began to walk back towards chloe with the pamphlets and schedules. "here, this one's yours i think." she said as she handed chloe the envelope. she sat down next to her as she began to tear open hers. they both opened their new schedules and scanned down each day and what classes they would be having. red gazed over at the piece of paper chloe held in her hands, "oh sweet! we have the same classes" she said with a grin on her face. "and we have history first period tomorrow!!" chloe said smiling. "i still don't get why you like history so much." i can't remember any of the stupid dates or people" red said joking.
"well maybe i could teach you sometime? it's really fun once you find a topic you like, i really love the history of auradon..." chloe trailed off. red sat there and listened to chloe ramble on about how the kingdoms joined. she seemed to feel more comfortable and less anxious, red really liked this side of her. chloe continued on for a few minutes about the history of auradon and red listened intently. "and yeah i think if you just gave it a chance you could really like it!" she finished. she turned her head to look at red who was looking at her slightly confused trying to take in all this information. "sorry! i just started yapping and then couldn't stop." she said nervously. "no i actually found it really interesting!" red said as she put her hand on top of chloe's. red wasn't one who liked physical touch, so this means a lot to chloe. "it's really cool how you know so much stuff auradon and you'll definitely have to tell me more sometime" she said smiling. chloe started to blush " you might have to slow down next time though because i didn't take in half of what you said" red said jokingly. chloe laughed in response before looking at the map that was on the back of her schedule. "maybe we should look around? just so we kind've know where we're going tomorrow. i really don't wanna be late on my first day, i need to make a good first impression" red was about to joke about how chloe was being such a goody two shoes but she stopped herself, chloe was the only person she struggled to be mean to, she always felt guilty after. "yeah sure, lemmie just get my shoes okay?" she said softly. "okay" chloe said with a small smile.

as they walked down the corridor's chloe looked at all the pictures on the walls. auradon was filled to the brim with old pictures of past students and historical figures. chloe bumped into red a few times which resulted in her giving lengthy apologies while trying not to be the most awkward person on the planet. once they had reached the ground floor which took way longer than they expected, considering they were only on the third floor, they reached the entrance to the "dorm wing"of the castle. auradon prep was separated into various "wings" and sections depending on what classes or buildings were there. chloe looked down at her map and decided they should go to the cafeteria first as that's where they would be going first every morning anyways. as they walked through the door there jaws dropped at how huge this area was. the only way that you could describe it would be like the one in hogwarts, huge tables that stretched the length of the room and off to the side were various options of different foods to choose from.
"holy shit this place is huge" red said. chloe elbowed her "language! we don't wanna get in trouble already" chloe said fearfully. "okay princess" red said while rolling her eyes, this remark made chloe blush. they walked around the rest of the castle looking at the class rooms and the football field. chloe began to get really excited about all her classes, she took school very seriously and made her grades a priority. red on the other had was very intelligent but never cared all that much about school, she had been homeschooled her whole life so she was a bit confused about some of the rules that she would have to follow in her new life here at auradon.

after a few hours of walking around they began to get hungry. red reached into the pocket of her jacket and pulled out her wrinkled, crumpled up schedule. "it says her that dinner hours are between 3:30-7:40 so we can go get something if you're hungry? i know you haven't eaten today so i can imagine after all the walking and that  you're gonna be starving" she said, feeling bad she hasn't asked before was chloe okay. "um sure that would be nice thanks" chloe said. she felt all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that red cared about her even if it was only a little. they began to walk side by side to the cafeteria, it was packed with people and chloe was trying to stay close to red so that she wouldn't loose her. red noticed this and grabbed chloe's hand and began to walk towards a table near the back right corner. chloe was startled by this but decided to just follow along. once they reached the table, red let go of chloe's hand as she began to take her jacket off. "what are you doing?" chloe asked. "i'm leaving this here so no one will take our seats" red said. chloe did the same, removing her jacket and giving it to red to leave down on the seat. "you ready?" red said. "yep" chloe said nervously looking at the crowd.
