Chapter 22: Party Chaos

I wake up, but pretend to be unconscious. That's when I hear "Dani..." with Natasha's voice. I then feel someone tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I know it's Natasha and open my eyes. I groan. Natasha smiles a bit. "Hey Nat..." I sigh softly. "Hey, солнечно. How are you?...I noticed that you weren't fighting as strong as you normally do... Something wrong? You know you can tell me. We're sisters-" Natasha starts.

"So we tell eachother everything. I know." I finish and sigh softly. "It's just...Bucky, Lena, Elizabeth and Olivia weren't my only friends when I was with HYDRA." Natasha raises an eyebrow and I continue "There were 4 other girls and one boy.... the girls were like family to me.." "And the boy?" she asks. "He meant everything to me.." I sigh softly. "Well, Stark is hosting a party tonight. Maybe that will lift your spirits." Nat states. I smile and hug my big sister. "Thanks, Tash."

I forgot to mention that Sunny retired, because she gave birth to a baby girl and Luci, Trudy, Ann, Anastasia, Jodie, Gianna and Mika also retired to help Sunny. Back to now, I then leave to find Maria Hill and Steve talking.

"What's the word on Strucker?" Steve asks. "NATO's got him." Hill says. "The five enhanced?" Steve asks.

"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff and Hazel and Violet Maximoff. Both pairs of twins. Orphaned at ten and five when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special but it's on the way to everywhere special. Then there's Lillian Maximoff who's biological parents were killed when she was three and was taken by the KGB and trained to be a Black Widow. She escaped, but Strucker got to her. Lillian got adopted into the Maximoff family and saw the three girls and boy as her siblings." Hill explains, as I bite my lip. Thank god no one saw.

"Their abilities?" Steve asks. "Pietro and Violet have got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Wanda, Lillian and Hazel's thing is neural electric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation." Hill says and Steve looks at her funny. I rephrase the statement so he can understand, because I knew that he is a grandpa "Pietro and Violet are fast and Wanda, Lillian and Hazel are like me." "Well, they're going to show up again." Steve says. "Agreed. File says they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. It's nuts." Hill exclaims.

"Right. What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them to protect their country?" Steve asks. "We're not at war, Captain." I state. "They are." Steve claims.

I go in my room to change into my dress and sigh softly as the dress I chose was the same color as the suit Pietro wears. I brush it off and do my hair, make up and put on my shoes and then leave to go to Tony's party.

I see my sister dressed with a white top and black skirt at the bar, serving drinks and I go to her. "Good thing we can legally drink now." I claim. "Yeah-" she takes a sip of her drink and adds "The Red Room had us drinking when we were like 5." I chuckle softly.

That's when Bruce approaches us. "How'd a nice girl like you wind up working in a dump like this?" Bruce asks. "Fella done me wrong." Natasha states. "You got a lousy taste in men, kid." Bruce states. "He's not so bad. Well, he has a temper. Deep down he's all fluff. Fact is, he's not like anybody I've ever known. All my friends are fighters. And here comes this guy, spends his life avoiding the fight because he knows he'll win." I smile, knowing Nat is talking about James. "Sounds amazing." Bruce says. "He's also a huge dork. Chicks dig that. So what do you think should I fight this, or run with it?" Nat asks. "Run with it, right? Or, did he... Was he...? What did he do that was so wrong to you?" Bruce says. "Not a damn thing. But never say never."
