Chapter 16: The Avengers Initiative

Coulson was fangirling over Steve until Agent Sitwell said "We got a hit. Sixty-seven percent match. Weight, cross match, seventy-nine percent." Natasha and I leave to go pilot the jet, or I should say Nat is piloting the jet and I am co piloting, because my big sister gets all the fun. Natasha then sees Loki fighting Steve, Aurora, Olivia, Charlotte, Kiara, Sunny, Luci, Jodie, Trudy, Ann, Gianna, Camilla, Anastasia and Mika. "Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Natasha says from inside the jet. I see everyone fighting and find it hard to shoot him "This guy's all over the place." I complain and Natasha nods in agreement. That's when AC/DC'S Shoot to thrill plays and Nat and I smirk amused, knowing exactly who it is. "Agents Romanoff and Shadow, did you miss me?" Tony says over a speaker and I see three people in Iron man suits, probably Tony Stark himself; his daughter, Serena and his niece, Freya.

Natasha and I are driving the jet with Loki caught and the rest of the Avengers. Fury asks over speaker "Said anything?" "Not a word." Nat responds. "Just get him here. We're low on time." Fury replies. Steve and Tony talk for awhile. That's when Thunder and lightning nearly strike the jet and Olivia, Sunny, Trudy, Ann and Jodie jump a bit. "Where's this coming from?" I ask calmly raising an eyebrow. Loki looks a little scared. "What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asks. "I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki replies. That's when a man opens the ramp and flies out with his hand on Loki's throat. "Now there's that guy." Steve says. "Another Asgardian?" Nat asks. "Think the guy's a friendly?" Steve questions. "Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost." Tony states. He then turns and gets ready to jump off the jet to chase after the man. "Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve demands. "I have a plan. Attack." Tony says and I roll my eyes at his arrogance. Tony jumps off the jet and Freya and Serena followed him. "I'd sit this one out, Cap." Nat says. "I don't see how I can." Steve says. "These guys come from legends, they're basically gods." I point out. "There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." He jumps out. Aurora and Kiara look offended. They and Charlotte, Olivia, Jodie, Ann, Sunny, Luci, Mika, Trudy, Anastasia, Camilla and Gianna follow as I get annoyed.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Dr. Banner asks. "Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asks." He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor says. "An army? From outer space?" Steve questions. "So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce puts together. "Selvig?" Thor asks. "He's an astrophysicist." Bruce says. "He's a friend." Thor adds. "Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with two of ours." I say seriously. Natasha could tell that I was suppressing my emotions again and gently rubs my back. "I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here." Steve says. "Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother." Thor says. "He killed eighty people in two days." Nat says and I tilt my head as if to say "she has a point." "He's adopted." Thor says. "I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium, what did they need the Iridium for?" "It's a stabilizing agent. I'll fly you there. Keep the love alive. Means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD." Tony says walking in. He then notices me. "Oh hey Butcher, how's the assassin life treating you? Honestly, you could've been a collage graduate and gotten a lot of PHDs." He says and I roll my eyes. "She didn't have a choice." Olivia says. I see Nat glare at him and Steve looks angry. Serena and Freya were by his side though Freya went to Kiara and Aurora. Everyone was talking and Natasha and I used the opportunity to slip out and interrogate Loki.
