We all gather at Clint's dinner table to talk.
"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing." Fury says.
"What about Ultron himself?' Steve asks.
"Ah. He's easy to track, he's everywhere. Guy's multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit. Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans though." Fury replies.
"He still going after launch codes?" Tony asks.
"Yes, he is, but he's not making any headway." Fury says.
"I cracked the Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare." Tony says.
"Yeah, well, I contacted our friends at the N.E.X.U.S. about that." Fury says.
"N.E.X.U.S.?" Charlotte asks. Yes, she's a bit of an oldie like her brother if I do say so myself. Which I do.
"It's the world internet hub in Oslo, every byte of data flows through there, fastest access on earth." Bruce explains.
"So what'd they say?" Tessa asks.
"He's fixated on the missiles, but the codes are constantly being changed." Fury states.
"By whom?" Serena asks.
"Parties unknown." Fury states.
"Do we have an ally?" Olivia asks.
"Ultron's got an enemy, that's not the same thing. Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is." Fury says.
"I might need to visit Oslo, find our "unknown."" Tony says.
"Well, this is good times, boss, but I was kind of hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that." Nat states.
"I do, I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everywhere, ears everywhere else. Here we all are, back on earth, with nothing but our wit, and our will to save the world. So stand. Outwit the platinum bastard." he replies.
"Steve doesn't like that kind of talk." I say knowing it would annoy him, something I like to do to all the Avengers as a hobby.
"You know what, Romanoff?" Steve says and I smirk mischievously and Natasha gives me a small high five.
"So what does he want?" Fury asks.
"To become better. Better than us. He keeps building bodies." Steve says.
"Person bodies. The human form is inefficient, biologically speaking, we're outmoded. But he keeps coming back to it." Tony says.
"When you three programmed him to protect the human race, you amazingly failed." Nat says and I raise an eyebrow.
"Кто третий человек?(Who's person three?)" I ask in Russian and Natasha whispers "Серена Старк.(Serena Stark)" in my ear. My mouth makes an 'O' shape and Olivia frowns slightly, because she speaks Russian. Everyone else looked confused.
"They don't need to be protected, they need to evolve. Ultron's going to evolve." Bruce says.
"How?" Fury asks.
"Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho?" Bruce asks.
A little while later....
"I'll take Natasha, Clint, my sister, my niece, Tessa and Daniella." Steve says.
"Alright, strictly recon. I'll hit the NEXUS, I'll join you as soon as I can." Tony says.
"If Ultron is really building a body..." Aurora starts.
"He'll be more powerful than any of us. Maybe all of us. An android designed by a robot." Freya states.
"You know I really miss the days when the weirdest thing science ever created was me and my brother." Charlotte says.
"I'll drop Banner off at the tower. Do you mind if I borrow Ms. Hill?" Fury asks Tony.
"She's all yours, apparently." Tony states.
"What are you gonna do?" Olivia asks.
"I don't know. Something dramatic, I hope." Fury states.
✨Time Skip✨
Nat and I were on motorcycles, on the jet, waiting to be let out. Technically I could fly and do all of that jazz, but my powers are not unlimited and need time to recharge.
"Two minutes. Stay close. Dr. Cho!" Charlotte calls out.
"He's uploading himself into the body." Dr. Cho says.
"Where?" Aurora asks.
"The real power is inside the Cradle. The gem, its power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the Cradle to Stark." Dr. Cho replies.
"First I have to find it." Steve says.
"Go." Dr. Cho commands.
"Did you guys copy that?" Steve asks.
"We did." Tessa confirms.
"I got a private jet taking off, across town, no manifest. That could be him." Nat says.
"There. It's a truck from the lab. Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. I got three with the Cradle, one in the cab. I could take out the driver." Clint says.
"Negative! If that truck crashes, the gem could level the city. We need to draw out Ultron." Oli says.
"Well, he's definitely unhappy! I'm gonna try and keep him that way." Rory says.
"You're not a match for him, Ro." Tessa states.
"Thanks, Tess." Aurora says and I swore she probably rolled her eyes knowing that she's a fucking demi-goddess.
"I wouldn't call it a comfort." Sure says.
"We got a window. Four, three... give 'em hell." Clint says and drops us out.
On the way I find Shaptain Shmerica's sheild. "Tash and I are always picking up after you guys."
"They're heading under the overpass, we've got no shot." Tessa says.
"Which way?" Nat asks.
"Hard right... Now." Clint says and Tasha and I head to the truck. Nat and I follow the truck.
"Out of the way, coming through! Sorry, coming through!" I say.
"Come on!" Steve says.
"Clint, can you draw out the guards?" Nat asks.
"Let's find out." Clint says.
"Beep beep!" I say.
"Heading back towards you. So whatever you're gonna do, do it now." Tessa says.
"I'm going in. RoRo, can you keep him occupied?" I say.
"What do you think I've been doing?" Aurora says.
"The package is airborne. I have a clean shot." Tessa says.
"Negative. Dani and I are still in the truck." Nat says.
"What the hell are you...?" Clint asks.
"Just be ready, my sister and I are sending the package to you." I say.
"How do you use to take it?" Tessa asks.
"Uhh, you might wish you hadn't asked that." I say and Nat and I drop the cradle into the Quinjet, but I feel someone grab my foot and pull me away.
