"Oh you don't want to do that boy" the dwarf spoke up. "Not me. Him!" Peter said motioning to Edmund.Edmund looked at us before, taking his sword out, I let the dwarf take Peter's sword.
I stood next to Peter, as he gently pulled me more back so we wouldn't get hit.
Edmund kept glancing at me, but he was in shock immediately of the dwarf, attacking right away.
The dwarf swung Peter's sword around, Edmund ducked but got hit in the face. I gasped, "Edmund!" I shouted.
I barely knew him, but I felt worried. "Oh are you alright?" The Dwarf asked in a sarcastic way.
Edmund blocked the Dwarfs next attack, hitting him, from behind. Both Lucy and I laughed. When Edmund smiled at me.
The Dwarf growled, before attacking.
He kept trying to swing the sword in different directions, and once under Edmund who jumped in the air dodging it.
Edmund clinked his sword with the dwarf after a while fighting back and forth, before finally getting the dwarf to drop it and fall on his knees, in shock while Edmund stared at him,
pointing his sword towards him."Beards and bedsteads!" The dwarf called out looking at me. "Maybe that horn did work after all"
Susan looked at us, "What horn?"
"My brother Caspian, we were told that the horn was supposed to bring you guys back in time of need" I said. "My Proffesor told me stories about you guys." I admitted.
I looked at them, "we need to find him, my brother." I pleaded. "Well. Let's take the boat. Shall we?" Peter suggested smiling.
Edmund helped me in the boat, the others got in following suit. I sat by Edmund as Peter rowed.
I kept feeling Peter's eyes on me making me blush while, I looked at the water. "So, is that the real story?" Edmund asked me. I was surprised. "You don't believe my story?" I asked a little hurt.
"Well, it's just we didn't hear much of you. More of Caspian." I looked down. "Because I was always hidden." I said while looking at the trees.
"What do you mean by that?" Peter asked. "My uncle was ashamed I was born. So they really mostly tried hiding my existence, Because I was a girl and not a boy." I said.
"When my father died, my uncle took over. He did everything in his power to get rid of me. But Caspian begged him- since I really was his only family left. A-after my mom and father died." I continued feeling myself stutter a few times, from tearing up.
"I don't consider Miraz as family anymore. After the way he treated me. Caspian doesn't even know some things." I said looking around, I felt my eyes tearing up awkwardly, I felt like I spoke too much. I didn't know why I opened up, to the Kings and Queens of Narnia- but I felt I could trust them, like they were family.
"All I know is my uncle wants my brothers throne. I want to stop him. Most of all I would say I want revenge. But, I know revenge isn't always a good thing." I said fidgeting with my dress. Susan had given me one of hers, before we left fully, since- I was only wearing a night gown.
Edmund took my hand gently, "he won't hurt you anymore." He whispered. "Yeah, we'll protect you. We have your back." Peter said.
"I appreciate it, I'm just surprised I lived this long." I said squeezing Edmund's hand. "I can say this. We're glad you're alive this long that we got to meet you" Susan smiled sadly.
The dwarf looked at me with sadness, I smiled slightly. "Not all of us are bad, some of us just come with a past we can't forgive ourselves on." I said.
Edmund looked away awkwardly, when I said that- I wonder if I touched a subject that was touchy for him. I guess if he's willing, to open up to me about it then he can. I wouldn't mind it. I did open up to him.
I put my hand on his thigh rubbing it gently, he looked at me smiling and blushing. I felt eyes staring at me, I looked at Peter who looked jealous?
I felt Edmund touch my hand gently snapping me out of my thoughts, I smiled a little.
I put my hand in the water letting it flow against it. I smiled liking the touch.
"They're so still" Lucy spoke up.
I looked at her confused, she was looking at the trees. I remember Professor saying how they, used to be able to dance.
"The trees?" I asked. Lucy smiled at me sadly.
"They're trees what do you expect?" The Dwarf which I learned was Trumpkin said.
"They used to dance" Lucy said. "Wasn't long after you left that the Telmarines invaded" Trumpkin stated, I looked down.
Edmund looked at me, I looked back, I was looking at his facial futures. He had freckles that seemed to blend just right to his skin tone. He had beautiful eyes I couldn't stop looking at. I stopped staring when Trumpkin continued. "Those who survived retreated to the woods and the trees, they retreated so deep into themselves that they haven't been heard from since."
I felt bad, it's our fault this happened. "I don't understand. How could Aslan have let this happen?" Lucy asked.
"Aslan? Though he abandoned us when you lot did." Trumpkin admitted.
Peter looked at me before, looking back at Trumpkin.
I could tell Peter was hurt, "We didn't mean to leave, you know." He whispered, I heard his voice slightly crack.
I wanted to hug him, "makes no difference now, does it?" I was hurt by Trumpkins words. He thought it was everyone's fault.
Even mine. "Get us to the Narnians....and it will." Peter looked at me.
