All of us gathered around in a meeting, "It's only a matter of time." Peter spoke up to the Narnians.

We just heard news one of Miraz, men were spying on us. I sat next to Edmund.

"Miraz men and war machines, are on their way." Peter did his speech. "That means the same men, aren't protecting his castle" I had a bad feeling about this.

I looked at Peter with questioning, "What do you propose we do, your majesty?" Reepicheep asked.

"We need to get ready for-" "to start planning for-" both my brother and Peter spoke at once.

I looked at them confused.

Peter glared at my brother, making him shut up. I sighed. I felt bad for my brother. I knew he wasn't a King and Peter was.  "Our only hope is to strike them, before they strike us." Peter says.
That was the most stupidest thing I heard. Is he asking for a death wish? Nobody has ever stood up to Miraz and I know he'll have guards there. No matter what.

I stood up, "Sorry to bud in but, that's impossible" I said everyone looked at me. Caspian spoke up also, "she's right! that's crazy no one has taken that castle!"

Peter stared at us, "there's always a first time, we'll have the element of surprise."

I went forward, "Peter your only setting your selves up for suicide, we need the numbers while we have them" I said. Peter looked at me. Both of us, were staring at each other like we were fighting with our eyes. He knew I was right, that we would lose men. I didn't want to go on a suicide mission.

"But we have an advantage here!" Caspian agreed. "If we dig in! We could probably hold them off indefinitely." Susan said stepping forward.

Trufflehunter the badger spoke up, "I for one feel safer underground" he said.

"Look I appreciate what you two have done here. But, this isn't a fortress it's a tomb" Peter said looking at my brother and I.

"Yes, and if they're smart, the Telmarines will, just wait and starve us out." Edmund said. I looked at Edmund, I didn't know whose side he was on.

"We could collect nuts!" A squirrel said. "yes and throw them at the Telmarines!" Reepicheep said "shut up! I think you know where I stand sire!"

I glared at Peter, "are you really going to do this?" I asked. "What choice do we have?" Peter asked. "I think you know what choice I'm thinking of Peter."

"There's other ways." I finished before deciding to leave. I don't know why I was mad, but this didn't feel the time to start the war."McKenna!" I heard Peter call after me but I didn't listen.

I kept walking down the hall, when I heard someone running.

"McKenna! Wait!" I recognized the person it was Edmund. "Hey. I'm sorry about my brother." I shrugged. "Well he is High King of Narnia, what more can you do to change his mind?" I asked.

He nodded knowing I was right, "he's very ego" I mentioned. "Yet you seem to like it" Edmund said looking me up and down. "What does that mean?" I asked feeling hurt.

"I see the way you look at him you know." Edmund said crossing his arms. His face shows a hint of jealousy.

"Edmund I don't know what you mean." I shook my head. "Don't lie to me McKenna. I know you have feelings for him" he said while grinding his teeth.

"W-what?" I laughed "you've got to be kidding me Edmund- I kissed you!" I said stepping forward.

Edmund stepped forward also, "So you're saying it meant something to you?" He asked, tilting his head.

"Why wouldn't it?!" I almost shouted. "Edmund- I don't know what's gotten into you, or your brother but... I-i don't know what to say right now" I said getting frustrated.

I noticed Edmund was shutting down. "Alright then. I see how it is." Edmund said leaving.

"EDMUND!" I called after him.

Once everyone left the stone table. I went over and sat in front of Aslans painting.

"Why do I always screw up?" I mumbled.

I felt tears falling slightly, as I stared at the painting. "I wish I could meet you, you would give me so much clarity right now." I sighed. I pulled my knees up to my chest before I felt a presence in the room.
