Chapter Nineteen.

I opened my eyes and everything was blurry. I moved my hand and my head felt wet. I touched it and removed my hand to look at it. I saw blood and then I attempted to turn my head to Max.

"Max." I whispered.

No reply.

"Max!" I cried.

Silence.

"MAX!" I screamed.

Nothing.

The sound of sirens pierced the silence. There was a man knocking on the window. I looked and saw a paramedic. I managed to push the door open, and he spoke.

"darling, can you tell me your name?" he asked.

"Lily." I whispered. "please, please help him." I cried.

"it'll be ok." he soothed.

"my baby." I shouted.

"your boyfriend will be fine." he told me.

"no, no. My baby, I'm pregnant." I said.

"we'll get you both straight to hospital, love." he smiled.

"I can't lose them, I can't lose them both." I mumbled.
