Two Weeks flew by with a gust of wind..so fast and slow at the same time..
There had been so much to do..from selecting costumes to preparing speeches..from pre-recording anchoring to submitting 50-page essays for the overexaggerated introductions of the royalty..And all of it seemed to burden Syren down and down.
David had helped him as much as he could..but he was a responsible kid, and he had to take care of his Father's business along too..
And so he spent full-on nights finshing the touch-ups, never sleeping a wink for work seemed to pile up faster than ever. All of this had escalated merely in a day, and Syren was irritated by the fact that he had to take all the responsibility..and yet he knew this was important to him as a future minister.
It all did end, though, and finally everything was over and right in order.
He didn't have to stay awake all night on 29th of September..and when he woke up the next day, on the BIG DAY, his dark circles, though still present, were no longer that defined.
The first Sun ray lit up the little apartment through his little window at the east corner of the room..and then succedingly, the alarm clock rang 6:00 A:M..
A hand glided past the bed, from under the sheets and the click stopped the continous ringing of the bell. Swallowed by the sheets, Syren stirred around, cracking his bones, before he slowly peeked out to stare at the sight from the little window.
There were dark clouds slowly forming in the sky, enveloping the Sun that momentorially peeked out and then hid again, and Syren shivered at the thought of rain despite of being warm in the sheets.
It took him enough courage to pull up his body and sit on the bed, eyes puffed and hair a mess..and while he zoned out for a few seconds, a ting on his phone jolted him conscious.
His hand rubbed his eyes, and he leaned sidewards towards the table beside his bed, blindly reaching forward to grab his phone. However, what he grabbed first wasn't a phone..but something that felt like Leather and Syren hurried to look at the bag positioned directly toward him, strangely in a vertical position where it leaned against the wall.
And Syren could've been sure, he didn't ever recall keeping it there, in fact, he had made sure to hide it deep with his closet because it kept evoking shivers throughout his body.
When he specifically stressed on his memory of last night, his attention went to the open window of his house, and there was a distant, faded memory of him closing the window before he went to bed, since it was cloudy late that night at well.
But it wasn't that bright..the memory, and Syren simply felt that he was too tired last night to remember anything, So He only managed to stress himself out with a irritated huff as he chose to ignore all of it, because this irregular behaviour of his was so immoral and impractical to him..and he only stretched his hand more so he could actually check what had been the cause of this internal turmoil in his mind.
David- Good Morning, Baby bird..It's a big day ahead..keep calm, yeah?..I'm here for you.
The notification read, and a faint smile embraced his lips..when he thought about what might happen today, he didnt feel burdened at the heart at all.
It was the realization of them or him having nothing for each other..and their worlds being parallel apart that made him realize how stupid he was to feel conflicted over things that shouldn't matter. It had been six years, he needed to remember..and no one's the same anymore..
There was onlt that bit of hatred remaining, boiling his guts for people who changed him, gave him his worst traumas..so he wished to bat not an eye on them all evening long.
