Soft, fluffy fibres of cotton and silk wrapped around Syren's lithe body snugly..warm and cozy..and the most like home he had ever felt. His eyes were intoxicately shut, as if waking up would burn them alive..and yet his throat was as parched as if it had been rubbed with a sandpaper.

Through the mushiness of his head, Syren's body stirred on the bed..unable to express these raw emotions surging through him. His otherwise hyperactive mind was now a calm peice of blurred memory, and a presence of something lingered in the back of his head.

He stilled his emotion, trying to grasp his thoughts from the jumbled mind of him, eyes close and lips shut as if afraid of being awakened. He breathed in, but all he smelt was calm and himself..he heard his own breathe..waiting, unable to comprehend anything..

With great struggle, he managed to peek his eye open, and light blinded him for a moment..but as soon as his eyes fluttered open and his brain started to work, adrenaline burned in his body. Somewhere in his head, an unfamiliar voice chanted something very slowly, but Syren could pay it no attention as his eyes frantically looked around.

This..Syren's breathe hitched..this room reeked of omega hormones..dripped with the smell of a pure O-omega..and when he wondered why with a trembled breathe..his gaze dropped onto an old lady sitting by the window of this room..seemingly asleep.

His parched throat gulped down saliva with great effort, and Syren's trembling hands removed the golden blanket away from his body. His shaking gaze looked around the room, coloured and furnished Bright gold, the door, walls, the headboard of the bed, the blankets..even the chairs were golden.

His gaze strained towards the elderly lady's sleeping face, before he very softly padded down from the bed and onto the floor..where the carpet was gold too. His legs wobbled for a minute, and he wanted to take a sip of the water kept at his bedside..but he didn't, and forced himself to quietly walk by and away from this lady to the door.

It shouldn't have been that easy, but it was actually..even the door had been left unlocked. When he peeked out, however, his emotions turned mushy, watching not one, or two but three endless hallways stretch before him. His lips quivered at the realization that he was most probably in the palace and already exposed..

He took the most obvious step that he could have..he strained his ears to pick out noises coming from all three of the halls..and he realized that the one stretching to his left seemed very empty.

He took one last peek at the old lady, before he grabbed his shaking hands tightly and walked with a trembling body into the left hallway. The lights were starting to get dimmer as he kept walking, and shivers broke out on his skin at the realization that this hallway was probably the one that no one visited.

It's never ending blackness scared him, but the reason for his escape wasn't worth even a single excuse. He kept walking, his feet faltering when lights flickered..the hallway though wide and spacious, was so silent that it felt as if it would end up having a dead-end.

His spine tingled, as if in a frenzy of vibrations..and there was that feeling of something speaking in the back of his mind, but he reminded himself that it was probably only his instinct.

But exactly then, Something shone deep in from the darkness stretching at the front..and Syren's breathe quickened along with his pace, his hands shaking at the terror coursing through him and yet he only stilled when he realized what had actually been the source of that shine.

In the right wall of this seemingly abandoned hallway, a potrait of a man hung, covering the whole wall. Syren trembled unknowingly, and shivers broke out on his skin..The man reeked of Alpha..his face sharp and stoic and cruel, and very familiar to King Arthur. His unfamiliar green eyes, however, from the potrait felt very familiar to Syren..and No, it wasn't the King Syren was thinkingg about...
