Back at the fire temple, Liu kang sees that ying fortress is glowing green.

Liu kang: How did you achieve such power sorcerer.....?

Suddenly Geras appears as Liu kang turns around.

Liu kang: You arrive on a moment too soon Geras. What have you learned...?

Geras: In scrutinizing Shang Tsung's first meeting with his benefactor, I made an important discovery. Her life essence, the very time crystals that make up her being...... ...are not of this timeline....

Liu kang: Not of this timeline? How could someone from a previous timeline enter this one???

Geras: That cannot happen.

Liu kang: If that cannot happen, then what has happened, Geras? There are no other timelines that came before.....

Geras: All evidence points to the presence of a second timeline, which exists concurrently with ours.

Liu kang: Two timelines, side by side, moving forward simultaneously.

Geras: Never in a billion lifetimes have I seen this... But that does not make the other timeline any less real. There can be no doubt that Shang Tsung's benefactor hails from it..

Liu kang: Hmm... And who she is, why she's here, where she's from... all questions we need answered. Which we can't, while we are under attack. I will go to Sindel. Convince her to withdraw from Earthrealm by showing her how history is being manipulated.

Geras: That will require revealing to her your prior role as Keeper of Time.

Liu kang: The situation gives me no choice. I will need your help, Geras. To prove my claims to the Empress....

???: I'm going with you.

The two turn to see Y/N standing in the doorway, his expression firm and resolute.

Liu Kang regards Y/N with a slight frown, not expecting his presence in the conversation.

Liu Kang: Y/N. Did you overhear our conversation?

Y/N: I did. My mother won't believe you if you go alone

He walks over to Liu kang and Geras.

Y/N: You said it yourself. The divergence I caused was not a mistake. It led us to a point where we can shape the destiny of this new timeline. Right??

Liu Kang nods, his expression still slightly guarded, but not necessarily disagreeable.

Liu Kang: Yes, that is true. The divergence you caused has presented us with the opportunity to potentially steer this new timeline in a different direction.

Geras looks at Y/N, his expression neutral but contemplative.

Geras: This new timeline can be shaped by our actions to create a more favorable outcome. It's an intriguing possibility.

Liu Kang then regards Y/N closely, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Liu Kang: Are you sure you wish to come with us? The meeting may not be easy or pleasant. I cannot promise Sindel will react calmly.

Y/N: I know.... But she's my mother. I owe her everything. And she deserves to know the truth.

Liu Kang holds Y/N's gaze, seeing the conviction in his eyes, mixed with determination. He could tell nothing he says would change his mind.

Liu Kang: Very well. If that's what you wish.

Geras remains silent, his gaze flickering between the two, waiting for Liu Kang's next command. Liu Kang enters Outworld again however Y/N was not in sight yet, Li Mei and Sun Do Constables are standing in front of him. Li Mei stands forward.
