It was July again.
It's been four seasons since I last saw you... since our paths drifted separately.
You chased your dream, and I did pursue mine too.
I still dropped by your cousin's house from time to time... waiting and hoping to see you again.
I always check my phone.
I still waited for your name to appear.
I still waited for your message.
Even a simple "Kumusta ka na?" would've been enough.
But chat bubbles stay empty.
I received nothing but silence.
Even your cousin says, "Uuwi raw siya next time."
But that "next time" never seems to arrive.
Still, I waited.
And waited.
But still, there was no you... you stopped coming home for summer.
What if I dared to reach out to you... would you have come home to where I was still waiting?
