LOSERSON: FATE

CHAPTER SEVEN: VIOLENCE IS POWER

As the ship arrives at the huge port, all the cargo are led out. Lily manages to cut out the entrance for her, Jeremy, and Priscilla to sneak out without anyone noticing. Simultaneously Isaiah and Samson leave their spots and sneak off to the other side, spying on Thomas Strike.

Wayne takes Julian away to the black sedan, with Sammy Newton dragged by bodyguards on the other car. Julian sees Melody with concerned eyes before Thomas forcefully turns his face away from her.

The chief officer questions Thomas, "What about the girl?"

Thomas: "Just get rid of her."

Julian is transported in a black sedan with Thomas Strike and Wayne to the Capitol. As they pass the cities, Julian peeks at the Americans, cheering to Strike and cursing to Loserson, much as he expected. Signs are written everywhere. "GOD BLESS MAYOR STRIKE." "LOSERSON IS A THREAT." "STRIKE FOR AMERICA." "#JUSTICEFORMALAYSIA!" "FUCK THE LOSERSON." "WE LOVE STRIKE, WE HATE LOSERSON."

Julian still feels heartbroken that the people still hate him, even though he has sacrificed enough, and love towards the secretly-evil mayor. Julian also hears the news from the radio, stating that Malaysia is destroyed, leaving 2,132 dead and missing, and blame takes on Julian. Wayne also listens, but does not take notice of Julian.

Meanwhile Melody Newton is taken by two soldiers and while they are outside, two soldiers are ordered by Strike to "get rid of the girl." They are ready to aim their guns, but they hear a noise. "Go check whatever the hell that is," one soldier talks to another, and the other solider shrugs and searches for the noise. "Nope," the other soldier answers, "Nothing seems to be..."

BANG! Two shots destroy the soldier's head, and the other soldier raises the gun, only to be stabbed by someone from behind. Lily Emerson shows herself behind the fallen soldier, as well as Jeremy and Priscilla appearing towards Melody. Lily rushes towards Melody and hugs her, "Oh my gosh. Melody, are you okay?"

Melody is relieved, "I'm fine, Lily."

Seconds after, Isaiah and Samson arrive at the scene. Samson points the pistol at Lily who does the same. Jeremy immediately defends Lily with his left hand. However Isaiah holds his hand in retaliation, and rushes towards Melody, checking every potential bruise, "Are you okay, sis?"

Melody: "Same as always."

Isaiah: "Where's Sammy? Is he okay?"

Melody: "I don't know. He was taken by Strike. I don't know where he go."

Jeremy: "Don't worry, we will find him together."

Samson greets Lily threateningly, nearly tempted to pull a trigger, "So, shall we do this now?"

Before Lily could either utter a word or act, Priscilla steps in front of Samson and argues, "I don't know who you are, but we've got a bigger threat than just either of you."

Samson: "Sorry, what?"

"There's no point in fighting each other," Melody interrupts, not fearing Samson's gun a little, "Either way someone dies, Strike will always be on top. You guys should cooperate, stop this madness, and.... just leave without killing."

"Sounds like a worse deal," Samson scoffs, then obliges and removes his gun from Lily's sight, and turns to Isaiah in admiration, "You're right, Newton, she has some heart."

Lily lowers her gun, and Samson continues, "I'm doing this for your friend's sake. Just don't backstab me again."

Lily: "I could say the same thing to you."
