I woke up to an empty bed

I woke up to an empty bed. I thought Raven had woken up and went to work out, but to my surprise she was cuddled up with azazel in her arms. I smile and took a picture of them. They looked peaceful so I decided to let them sleep in.

It was 11 in the morning, so most of the students are awake. And others are packing to visit their families. Raven and I usually visit my family for holidays but this year we decided to stay in mystic falls. Azazel had been talking about the cabin her parents bought here and she had asked permission to stay there.

I have been trying to get Raven and her to start liking each other again, which I can proudly say is working. They haven't been bickering about god knows what. "Arroya." I hear behind me. I turn around and see Jaxon. "What do you want?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for being a jerk to you. I was having a rough time." He says. Fidgeting with his fingers. It's something I noticed both him and Aza do when they're anxious. "It's okay. Just apologize to Raven and azazel and I'll forgive you." I tell. He nods.

"I will. I promise, but I don't want you to forgive me that easily. How I acted towards you was uncalled for and I will work on earning your trust again." He said. I nod and walk to the kitchen.

Raven walks into the kitchen. Sitting on the counter. "Hey where's aza?" I asked as I put the coffee in my cup. "She's still sleeping?" She said. Grabbing a mug. "Is she okay." I asked. Azazel hates sleeping in. She always wants to wake up early to keep her schedule in order. "Yea she just had a nightmare last night." She says, as she pulls out a carton of eggs from the fridge. Along with some cut up fruits.

"I'm making breakfast what do you want to eat." She asks. "Whatever you're making is fine." I tell her. Helping her. "You do know azazel is allergic to apples right." I tell her when I see her put apple slices on three plates. She snaps her head towards me, her eyes widen. "What?"

"Yea we found out when I accidentally gave her an apple flavored gummy when we were six. Her face swelled up." I said. Getting a new plate. "I remember like it was yesterday. The most kindest bubbly little girl who almost killed me." A voice said from behind us. Making us jump.

Azazel smiles and pops a strawberry in her mouth. "Why you guys let me sleep in. You know how much I hate sleeping in." She says and mixes the eggs on the stove. "You looked peaceful and I didn't want to bother you." Raven said. She nods. "Oh my parents gave me permission to stay at the cabin. When do you guys want to go." She asked. I shrugged.

"What did you and Jaxon talk about yesterday?" Azazel became stiff and stopped mixing the eggs. "Um, nothing important. Just sibling stuff." She says. I knew she was lying but I didn't want to push her, so I dropped it.

I park my car and help get the bags out of the trunk. "There's two bedrooms up stairs and my parent's room is downstairs." I said. Opening the door and walked in. Laying the bags down on the couch.

"Is someone else coming?" Raven asked.

I nod. "Yea. Eli is coming later and he said he's bringing someone with him and Jaxon will come in 15 minutes."

Raven nodded and looked around the house. "If you and Jax are having trouble you can sleep in my room." I told arroya. "And were you going to sleep?" She asked.

"Here. On the couch."

Arroya shook her head. Looking at the picture frames on the wall. "Your mom was pregnant?" She said. Picking up a frame. I nodded. Looking at the picture. Dad was behind mom with his hands on top of her large belly. Jaxon and I were on each side of her and we both had our hands under her belly.

I was pretty sure I felt her kick.

"Yea."

"How old are they now."

"She would have been 7." Arroya frowned, looking at me confused. I cleared my throat. "Um, there was complications during the birth and she didn't make it." I explained. "What was her name." She asked. Putting the frame back on its place.

"Hazel."

"Did you offer your room so you wouldn't have to sleep with in the same bed as Raven." She asked. Changing the subject.

"Of course I did." She laughed.

"And if Jaxon and I make up then what." I shrugged. "She can sleep in my room and I'll sleep here. Well if Raven lets me." I say. Arroya shook head as she smiled.

Raven came downstairs. "Who and who are gonna sleep in the same room." She said. I gave her thin smile. "Jax and I are sleeping in his room." Arroya said. I snap my attention to her and she gives me wink.

"You can sleep in my room. I'll sleep on the couch." I tell Raven. She crosses her arms over her chest. Giving me one of her mom glares. "You can't change my mind Rae Rae I already decided." I say as I walked away. Trying to get away before she has the chance to argue back.

Every time we're bickering or arguing, she has this look in her eyes and it does something to me. It's like my body wants to do everything she tells me. My mind just stops listening to me and focuses on her.

If she asked me to do something, I would do it in a heartbeat. No questions asked.

And I hate that.

Liar.

"She's unbelievable

"She's unbelievable." I say, throwing my hands in the air. Every time we argue she manages to find something to be able to run away.

"It's entertaining watching you two." Arroya said. I rolled my eyes and sat next to her. "How are you and Jaxon?" I asked her. She shrugged.

"He apologized but he doesn't want me to forgive him yet."

"Seems like he's punishing himself."

Arroya nodded. "He's a Mikaelson and Dunbar, they always punished themselves." She said with a frown. She's not wrong, azazel and Jaxon do come from a family with issues. They hurt themselves for the people they care for.

I pat her back. Trying to make her feel better. "Don't worry. I'm sure he's going to bring you a bouquet of sunflowers." I said as I sat up. Arroya shook her head and laughed. Well laughed at me.

But at least I made her laugh.
