[Ch 7]:[Too Close For Comfort]

[Location]:[Sparring Class]+(2 Weeks Later)

Everyone was sitting on the ground and watching the teacher giving them lessons on how to do offense and defense in combat fighting. And showing them different kinds of fighting styles.

Sitting at the corner was Clay and Suzuki, no one dared to sit near Suzuki and they felt an intense aura from him not even Clay could detect the atmosphere of change.

As Clay was confused about the lesson and was writing down some of the important things in his notebook, so he won't forget and a few jokes from the teacher that made everyone laugh or chuckle.

Then the teacher told everyone they are going to spar with their classmates and gave rules of no violence as this was just a practice not an actual fight.

The students were with their sparring partners as they were allowed to choose and both Clay and Suzuki were sparring partners and everyone went into different spacious areas to spar.

While others were sparring, Suzuki was hesitant and didn't want to hurt Clay and does his best to in sparring with Clay who was focused but ends up getting defeated many times by Suzuki.

It was a huge surprise to Clay on how easily he got defeated by Suzuki and couldn't help but praise him. Suzuki looked away as he scratched his head and was secretly blushing and liked being complimented by Clay.

This continued and Clay was getting good at fighting and was able to bring down Suzuki and some of the students. But they backed away when Suzuki glared at them from behind Clay.

And they continued the sparring with Clay improving himself in fighting like some anima character progressing in fighting.

[Minutes Later After Class Was Over.......]

It's just been hours and Clay noticed that Suzuki's personality had changed drastically for over just two weeks.

And Clay felt a little isolated from Suzuki's constant intimidation towards other classmates and other students from different class sections in the school.

This made him uneasy by Suzuki's unusual behavior and being way too close and didn't forget that the Beast Hunt Event will start.

Caleb would also appear out of nowhere to greet Clay who was happy to see him, since he wanted to know Caleb further and not realizing that he had sparked a rivalry between Caleb and Suzuki.

But it was too late and couldn't do anything about it.

Was it even his problem?

[Location]:[Space Station]+(A Few Days Later)

All students from Aubrey Academy were gathered and walked towards the door to the two large spaceships for Alpha and Omega separated from each other with a few of their luggage with essential items needed before leaving.

Clay and Suzuki were walking together towards one of the rooms within the spaceship that will be taking them to the planet "Fiara" or in other words beast.

As the entire place is populated by Beast of elements and non elements. This place could also lead the death to many previous alpha students that had died in the planet.

It was a survival of the fittest and making sure that only the strongest alpha can survive through the infested beast planet.

The spaceship slowed its doors after all students, teachers and other staff had entered and the spaceship was slowly ascending up from the ground.

[With Clay and Suzuki.......]

Suzuki and Clay were in the same room and were happy about it as they are in the same room instead of being in a separated one with a different roommate.

And soon enough, Clay took the bunkbed from below instead the upper one as he would have a chance of falling off while he is asleep, so Suzuki take the upper bunkbed.

"Couldn't you believe?! Were gonna go hunting and I couldn't wait to get my first ever beast orb!", Clay had an excited expression and was jumpy that would make him look like an energetic kangaroo.

"Yeah.....", Suzuki responded to Clay's excitement.

Then he pulled out an old beast encyclopedia book belonging to Nile who gave it to him on his 10th birthday.

Opening the book and flipping the pages, Clay looked like a madman reading the book and not leaving his eyes on it as Suzuki could clearly see his determination in reading the book.

He was soaking in the entire knowledge of the beast encyclopedia book, although Clay had read it many times and was reading it again to remember everything.

Minutes Has Passed, Clay was still repeatedly reading everything and was so distracted that Suzuki had to make sure that Clay didn't stumble and bumped into anything inside their dormitory.

But his reading was disrupted when his phone got a notification from someone. Putting the book down onto the bed and grabbed his phone from the desk.

Looking at the notification it was Aunt Maisha, who is at the clinic of the spaceship for Alpha's as another doctor was at the spaceship for Omega's.

The notification was talking about: Maisha wanting to see Clay do well at the Beast Hunt Event, without dying and wish him best/good luck when they are at the Fiara Planet with a four-leaf clover emoji.

He replied back to Aunt Maisha's messages with jokes adding to a more lighthearted and exasperated tone instead of dark humor and whatnot.

Clay couldn't help but chuckle as he felt Suzuki leaning against him, glancing at the message that Clay had quickly turned off on his phone.

"Suzuki! You shouldn't be snooping into someone's business," Clay said in a scolding tone as he put his phone away.

He didn't say anything, but he gently wrapped his arms around Clay's waist and rested his head on his shoulder. This made Clay flinch when Suzuki brushed and played with his dark blue hair.

This was getting creepy and it was too close for comfort however Clay did not know what to do and was thinking of calling out Suzuki's actions.

Clay decided not to call Suzuki out, noticing that his friend seemed to find comfort in him. Though he found it a bit strange, he wanted to observe more about his friend.

The hug was unexpectedly nice and didn't make Clay uncomfortable at all. He soon noticed that Suzuki had fallen asleep after he stopped brushing and playing with Clay's hair.

"That was fast..." Clay remarked, noticing how quickly Suzuki had fallen asleep. Observing Suzuki's tired appearance and heavy eye bags, he considered taking him to Aunt Maisha for a check-up to assess Suzuki's mental health.

Snapping his fingers, Clay turned off all the lights in the room to avoid disturbing Suzuki. It was nighttime, and as Clay attempted to slip out of Suzuki's grasp, he found it tightening slightly.

With a sigh, he realized he couldn't escape and braced himself for a long travel ahead with Suzuki's strange behavior.
