Krishna asked Balram to get his army, the famed Narayani Sena, ready immediately and take care of the Brahmin by Devaki who appeared there in no time as she had heard of a messenger from Vidarbha, after the departure of Sankarshana & Devaki, he took the scroll out and began reading it. His lotus peepers lit in supreme delight as he was going through the letter. The dark skin of Madhusudana turned as bright as pearl as he went upon reading it to his heart's content, followed by a sudden rush of anger through each one of the veins of his body as he could succumb enough to understand the plight of his Shree, his blood boiled in extreme rage as he had learnt that helplessness of Rukmini, the shaking hands of hers, which were tinted with Kumkum, he could easily perceive the tears rolling down her pink cheeks onto the letter as it carried some words which came out hazy as her tears made their way through it.

The gorgeous city of Dwaravati woke up from the peaceful sleep as the neighing of horses and the sounds of the Narayani Sena marching towards the seashore came, the subjects of Dwarka got alarmed as they presumed it to be another sudden invasion of Jarasandh, each resident of the city was horrified as they witnessed the mighty Dwarkadheesh on his chariot with a grim face, followed by the chariot of the powerful elder brother of his. The people of Dwarka had taken their shelter within their houses, they watched the unbeatable army of their land with bated breaths as the princes ordered to rotate the secret lockers of the doors which unmoulded the way towards the mainland.

--------------------

After two days of constantly running his chariot at a stretch, with taking rest at the night only, Krishna blewed his famous Panchajanya conch as he arrived at the mainland, signaling the army to march towards Kundinapura as soon as he noticed the wealthy capital city of the vassal kingdom of Vidarbha from afar ,standing on a cliff, ensuring that nobody of that kingdom could see him or his army.

Krishna saw the magnificient palace and stared at it, wondering which one would be Rukmini's chamber, with each passing moment, he was growing eager to have a glimpse of her. It had been 5 years he had seen the lotus face of Vaidarbhi; he was lost in her thoughts as he tried to think how she would look now. He came out of his own world as soon as he had felt the constant tapping on his shoulder and smiled nervously as he had found Balram standing behind him.

" Are you gonna stay on the cliff like this forever?? Or care to enter the city?? I understand your eagerness to see her, but let the right time come, you should wait for it, right Kanha?? " Balram teased him on seeing his younger brother growing impatient with the passage of every single moment.

" It's been 5 years, Dau!! And I've not seen her after she had left for her paternal abode!! I know I have to wait for the right moment to come, but it's killing me!!! And also, there is only one day left for her to come out of her chamber, she had written that on the day of her marriage, she would have to visit the temple of Devi Girija, as a ritual of her natal family; but I also have to make sure that the vile Jarasandh doesn't cause any harm to Maharaj Bhishmak, too!!! " Krishna replied, his voice being heavy with the love & concern for his Mahalakshmi and unadulterated respect his would-be father-in-law.

On noticing the sunset, Sankarshan
nudged his brother and dragged him for taking some rest as the next day they had to rescue the princess and her father, alongwith ordering Satyaki, the general of the army to get the army ready for the next day.

In the grand palace of Vidarbha -

Rukmini was tired of continuously crying and praying in front of the Small temple of Vishnu inside her dorm, she was visibly weakened as she refused to eat anything from the very night when she had finished the letter and sent it to her lord, her Manmohan. She had even locked herself within her chamber and didn't allow anyone to visit her, those lotus eyes, which were always adorned with kohl, which had always carried the love & concern for everyone, got red and puffy due to sobbing hard. She got alarmed as soon as she had heard of her eldest brother, Rukmi, coming towards her dorm. Rukmini
was panicking as she was busy in hiding her bunch of peacock feathers hurriedly.

All on a sudden, Rukmi knocked the door as it was his 'duty' to check on his sister, he was anxious for her health since he had heard of her fasting from the last three days, she didn't even drink water since then!! Rukmi got alert as he had reminisced the words of Jarasandh
-
" I have full faith in you, Rukmi. I know that you won't let your words get in vain; but if I find anything else happening in your kingdom other than the marriage of your beloved sister with Shishupal, I won't hesitate for a moment to chop the heads of you and your brothers, along with you sister and Bhishmak and the kingdom of Vidarbha would be vanished from the map of the whole Aaryavart, mark my words!!! " - Magadhnaresh smirked evily, his embodiment dreadful enough to get shivers running through Rukmi's spine. He got a little relieved on seeing that there were no traces of any peacock feather, as a maid had told him, and his beloved sister sleeping onto her bed, the tear marks onto her beautiful face were prominent even in the lamp lights.
He gently caressed her tresses and covered her with a blanket, yes, it was true that he hated Krishna, the mysterious prince of Mathura, who had shifted his city amongst the ocean, and he tried to convince his little sister to forget that cowherd; yet he was a bit tensed and thus had to improve the security system of his land as he feared that the cunning son of Vasudev & Devaki would try to invade into his land, his Vidarbha. Rukmi quickly made a prayer to goddess Girija, to protect his family and his subjects from the wrath of Jarasandh.
